Not far away, the name "Rachel" cut through the air, stopping Jeffrey in his tracks.
His gaze shifted, landing on the spot where she had fallen, Josephine kneeling beside her.
Finn, standing at his boss's shoulder, heard the shout too and glanced over, then quickly looked back at Jeffrey's face, trying to gauge his reaction.
But Jeffrey's expression was utterly blank.
He regarded the scene with cold, detached eyes, his handsome face showing no flicker of emotion.
"Let's go," he said flatly, turning to continue down the path toward the stone steps.
Since Rachel had fallen just a short distance from the staircase, his route would take him directly past her.
