Seras and Xisovis were locked in a fierce glare-off, each refusing to back down.
The nearby scientists watched, frozen in awkward silence, unsure of how to handle the situation.
Just then, Luo Lan walked in.
"…What's going on here?"
Seeing the two top scientists bickering like children, Luo Lan was momentarily stunned.
One of the researchers quickly rushed over to explain.
"Marshal, it's like this…"
About a minute later, Luo Lan finally understood.
Apparently, the weapons division of the Science Department ran into issues developing a new firearm. The project lead, an A-rank researcher, had gone to Seras for help. Coincidentally, Xisovis was also present at the time.
Upon hearing the issue, both of the S-rank scientists decided to offer their assistance—and naturally, both had their own design proposals.
So today, they both entered the lab at the same time, each insisting their design was superior, and that's how this standoff began.
"Seriously, are you two children? Just build both guns and test them in the field. We're not short on funds, are we?"

"Ian, it's me. Bring Baby 5 to the Science Department immediately."
"Yes, Marshal!"
Seras and Xisovis were utterly confused. What did Ian and Baby 5 have to do with this?

Baby 5 took them and studied the designs intently.
Five minutes later, she set them down.
"Let's go to the weapons testing range," she said calmly.
Without another word, Luo Lan led the group out of the lab. Though still unsure what was going on, everyone quickly followed.
They took the elevator down to the Hive's 7th underground level—the weapons testing range.
Well, technically, it was just a shooting range.
"Baby 5, try out Seras's design first."
"Understood."
Baby 5 nodded and activated her ability. Her right arm began to morph, eventually transforming into a large firearm—much bigger than a standard rifle. The barrel alone was easily over 30mm in caliber, giving it a terrifying presence.
Seras and Xisovis were both stunned.
Wait… she can do that?
If Baby 5 could instantly transform into a prototype from a blueprint, they wouldn't need to waste time building and testing physical models—they could skip straight to functional evaluation. That would massively speed up research and cut costs.
This was revolutionary.
The two scientists stared at Baby 5 with a newfound intensity—possessive and calculating.
Luo Lan raised an eyebrow.
Hey now, her husband is standing right there, and you two are giving her that look?
Still, Luo Lan was shocked himself. He hadn't examined the blueprints closely earlier—but now, seeing Baby 5's transformation, he realized the design looked very familiar.
Wait a second… wasn't that the legendary sniper grenade launcher from his past life? The one infamous for being the most brutal sniper rifle ever created?

Baby 5 raised her transformed right arm—no, the sniper launcher—and aimed it at a target several hundred meters away.

Luo Lan was impressed. Baby 5 barely flinched—just a slight tremble in her shoulder.

Luo Lan made an instant decision.
Both guns would be put into production.
Mass production.
And as for Baby 5—he had never quite found the right role for her before, but now?
