After the entire ordeal and a while of eating, Kranos finally voiced the question that had been troubling him.
"Father, Mother, what happened to the Immortal World?" The moment Kranos spoke, the air around the table changed slightly, becoming tenser.
The cat sensed the shift and rolled its eyes, raising a paw to smack Kranos on the head.
"How dumb can you be? Can't you wait until we finish eating before asking something like that?"
"Of course, I know that. But what if they decide to leave right after our meal? You're not human, so you wouldn't understand how these things work," Kranos replied calmly, no longer paying attention to the cat.
The cat sighed and said nothing more, focusing on the meal instead. Kranos touched his nose, slightly uneasy. Was he the one who had spoiled its mood?
"About the Immortal World," Raphael interrupted Kranos' thoughts, his voice low. "You may not have heard of this before, but according to what we know so far, they call it the Calamity."
