"They're gone!"
"All the monsters are gone!"
Not far away, Thor and Loki—who had been locked in fierce combat with the monsters—also noticed this at once, their faces lighting up with joy.
What's more—
The massive prison holding Frigga vanished along with them.
It turned out that the prison itself had also been created by the God Butcher Gorr, forged through the power of the Necrosword by manipulating darkness.
"Mother!"
"Mother!"
The two brothers rushed toward Frigga in delight.
"Thor, Loki!"
Frigga tightly embraced her two sons.
Mother and sons were immersed in the joy of reunion after the crisis had been resolved.
As for the God Butcher Gorr—
His situation was the complete opposite.
"Impossible!"
"My power… my power is gone!"
"It was you—what did you do?!"
"This is impossible!"
The God Butcher Gorr—no, now he could only be called Gorr—
His eyes were wide open, his face filled with shock and blank disbelief, as though he'd been struck by lightning.
He simply couldn't believe it.
At this very moment, he had lost all his power.
He had reverted to the same ordinary mortal he once was.
How did Homelander do it?
What kind of terrifying and bizarre method was this?
"Quick!"
"Quick!"
Amid boundless shock, Gorr lunged like a rabid dog toward the Necrosword lying on the ground.
He grabbed it desperately with both hands.
Though he still couldn't lift it, he desperately hoped to draw power from it once again.
But nothing happened.
And for some reason, Gorr felt that the Necrosword was no longer the same.
The original Necrosword had carried an intensely sinister, icy aura—
A vortex-like power that was impossible to resist, dragging anyone who touched it into submission.
But now?
Gone.
All of it was gone.
"Cough—cough!"
"Ugh!"
As he struggled, Gorr suddenly began coughing violently, spitting out several mouthfuls of blood.
During the time he had wielded the Necrosword, his body had already been corroded beyond recognition—riddled with holes and on the verge of collapse.
"Don't waste your effort."
"The Necrosword is already a broken blade."
"It can no longer grant you any power."
Alex glanced at Gorr and did nothing more, speaking calmly.
With a single look, he could tell—
Gorr was about to die.
"Homelander!"
Thor, Loki, and Frigga walked over to Alex together.
Although they didn't know that the Necrosword had already been completely "drained" by Alex, it was obvious that the disappearance of the monsters and the prison holding Frigga was the result of Homelander defeating Gorr.
"Queen Frigga, are you alright?"
Alex gave a faint nod to the brothers, then turned to Frigga and asked.
"I'm fine, Homelander. This time… we truly owe everything to you."
Frigga thanked Alex sincerely.
As one of the Nine Realms' foremost sorceresses and Odin's wife, she could clearly see—
Thor and Loki were simply no match for Gorr.
Not to mention Gorr himself—even dealing with the monsters he created would have been extremely difficult.
The God Butcher had clearly exploited this weakness by capturing Frigga, intending to kill the two brothers here.
After all—
Asgard had countless troops. Pulling something like this off there would have been far from easy.
"There's no need for thanks, Your Majesty."
"Since I promised Lord Odin, how could I go back on my word?"
Alex replied lightly.
"Homelander… Asgard owes you yet again."
Thor couldn't help but sigh.
The Dark Elves, the Goddess of Death Hela, and now the God Butcher Gorr—
Asgard's debt to Homelander was truly beyond repayment.
"Let's not talk about that."
Alex waved his hand casually.
After a brief exchange, Frigga, Thor, and Loki finally turned their attention to Gorr.
With their experience, they could tell at a glance—
Gorr didn't have long to live.
Even surviving a few more minutes would be sheer luck.
Originally, for someone who had invaded Asgard and abducted Frigga, the brothers had sworn to tear him to pieces.
But now—
They no longer felt the need to act.
"Why did it turn out like this… why?!"
"I'm not satisfied! This isn't fair!"
"Killing you hypocritical gods—killing you all—I'll kill all of you!"
Gorr's condition had deteriorated to the extreme. Even his mind was no longer clear.
He muttered endlessly, both hands still clutching the Necrosword.
But his voice grew weaker and weaker.
Until finally—
There was no sound at all.
The God Butcher Gorr, who had once struck fear into the gods, died just like that.
Who told him to run into Alex?
In truth, Gorr's original plan had been far more ambitious.
Luring Thor and Loki to this planet and killing them was only the first step.
After eliminating Asgard's two gods, Gorr would have invaded Asgard itself and seized control.
Once that happened—
He would gain control of the Bifrost.
Using it, he could travel to Eternity and make a wish—
To wipe out every god in the universe.
It had been a grand plan.
And more than that—
It wasn't unrealistic.
If Alex hadn't intervened, Gorr's chances of success would have been frighteningly high.
But there are no "ifs" in this world.
Gorr just happened to run into Alex.
And so, all he could do was accept his fate.
Everything he had done ultimately became nothing more than a stepping stone on Alex's path to greater power.
A tragic irony.
"Mother, let's go."
Thor spoke up, calling to Frigga.
With no further words, the group boarded an Asgardian ship and departed.
Leaving behind only Gorr's corpse—
And the ruined Necrosword, left to rot on that desolate world.
"Homelander, everything you've done—Asgard will never forget it!"
"It seems Father truly was wise. I finally understand his choice back then."
After returning to Asgard, Thor and the others naturally held a grand banquet in Alex's honor.
Thor and Loki personally escorted Alex when it was time for him to leave.
"When you have time, come visit Krakoa."
Alex smiled at the two brothers.
"I will!"
Thor replied with a grin.
"Alright, this is where we part."
Alex waved at Thor and Loki.
Thor nodded to Heimdall beside him.
Understanding immediately, Heimdall raised his greatsword and clang—
Inserted it into the Bifrost's activation mechanism.
With a light twist—
Crackle!
Amid flashing arcs of lightning, Alex's figure vanished.
