Ella: But she won't be around all the time, she has other patients.
Grandma: So what? What do I need at midnight except sleep? It's more dangerous for you to stay. He'll drop you.
(Damian and Ella exchange shocked looks.)
Ella: No need.
Grandma: Did he come on a bicycle?
Damian: No, I brought my own vehicle. (shows his keys)
Grandma: Good. Then take her away, like you did earlier. Go.
Ella: I won't.
Grandma: If you don't, I'll ban you from coming to my shop, calling me, texting me, whatever this generation uses to contact people.
Ella: Are you blackmailing me?
Grandma: Blackmail, red mail, blue mail—I'll use any mail to get rid of you.
Ella: Don't you love me?
Grandma: I love myself more.
(Damian tries to hold in his laugh; even the nurse cracks a smile.)
Ella: Fine! I'm going. And I won't come again to see you.
Grandma: Thank you.
She walked out, and Damian stayed for a second. He noticed Grandma smiling at him, gesturing for him to go. He smiled, understanding her intent, and followed Ella.
Damian: Are you really going to leave?
Ella: I'll have to. You know what she said? She can actually do that without hesitation.
Damian: And well… she's right. It would be dangerous for you—even though you are the danger.
Ella: Yes, yes…
(She continued walking outside the hospital when Damian suddenly remembered the parking was in the basement.)
Damian: Hey, the parking's in the basement.
Ella (turning): Okay, bye.
Damian: Bye? Aren't you coming with me?
Ella: Why would I? I'll simply book a cab.
Damian: And how? Isn't your phone dead? You really want to go home at midnight with a dead phone and no security device? I won't let you.
Ella: And how can I believe I'm safe with you? (sarcastic)
Damian: (steps closer; she backs away slightly, and he leans in near her face) How did you feel when we were alone in that park?
Ella: (blushing) W-What do you mean? (she pushes him and steps back; Damian stays confident, hands in his pockets)
Damian: You're coming with me. That's final. (he heads toward the basement)
Ella: What do you think you are? A mafia? A vampire? (still following him anyways)
Damian: Well, for tonight, I'm Damian—a common man. (he stops in front of his sports bike, pulling the keys from his pocket)
Ella: Is this… your vehicle?
Damian: Yeah. (nods with a slight smile)
Ella: So you didn't come in your car?
Damian: Nope. (pulls out a helmet, handing one to her)
Ella: You actually keep a second one for situations like this?
Damian: Maybe. Or maybe it's destiny. (half joking, half serious smiling )
Ella: Do you even know how to ride it? (doubting)
Damian: (rolling the bike out of the slot) Let's test it now. Come on, hop on.
Ella: Fine. (she sits behind him, keeping some distance)
