Ella: "What?"
Damian: "I like you." (says it calmly, without hesitation)
Ella: "Ah—" (shocked, speechless)
Damian: "Hey, it's fine if you don't… but at least say something."
Ella: "Well… Damian…"
Damian: "I don't know if you like me or not, but Ella — please, before thinking about the hate, Mr. Mah, my fans, or anyone else… just think about you and me. Do you really not like me, or is something just stopping you?"
Ella: "Damian… but they're a part of your life."
Damian: "The only part of my life that truly matters is me — and my family. Ella, please…"
Ella: "Damian, I… I'm sorry." (she turns to leave)
Damian: "Ella…" (she pauses) "Thanks for listening. And for rejecting me." (sad smile) "But I know… it's not what's in your heart. It's what's in your mind."
Ella: "And you know why I chose what's in my mind too."
Damian: "I'll drop you home. And please… it won't change those small jokes between us, right? We're still friends?"
Ella: "Yes." (nods with a small smile)
Damian: "Just one more thing, Ella… whenever you feel it's finally your heart's turn — I'll be there for you."
Ella: "Thanks… but I don't think that'll ever happen."

Dad… (his voice trembling)
DAD
Why are you both crying?
DAMIAN
Dad, I miss you.
DAD
(smiling softly)
Come on… I miss you too. But that's no reason to cry.
(Damian chuckles through tears.)

Right, I forgot — you get his news before the TV channels.

Stop it. I'm just happy he finally made a sensible decision.
(Suddenly, the doorbell rings. Ella walks to open it and freezes — it's Damian, wearing a simple shirt, pants, and a watch. His hair is neatly cut in a soft bowl style.)

What happened to your hair?!
DAMIAN
(grinning)
My mom cut it. Looks good, right?
ELLA
(laughs)
You look like a five-year-old kid.

(from the other room, shouting)

(She rushes in and freezes.)

Meet her — she's Ella. And Ella, these are my parents.
ELLA
(awkwardly)

REY
Why are you all standing at the door? Please, come in!
DAD
So sweet of you.
