Chapter 183 - Chapter 183: Susanoo VS the Giant Sea Kings

Kaito's Rinnegan locked tightly onto the nine giant Sea Kings above. Without even turning his head, he said,

"Shirahoshi, tell them to drag the Noah and pull Fish-Man Island to the surface."

Originally, Kaito had intended to do it himself. But now that these massive laborers had conveniently appeared—and had the nerve to talk back to him—there was no way they were leaving without paying a price.

Shirahoshi immediately nodded and conveyed Kaito's message to the nine Sea Kings in the sky.

Unexpectedly, the Sea Kings didn't follow her orders. Instead, they all shook their enormous heads in unison.

One of them, a Sea King with a bird-like head, spoke:

"My Princess, it is not yet time...."

Being rejected by the Sea Kings left Shirahoshi flustered. She looked over at Kaito and said awkwardly,

"Kaito-sama… they say it's not time yet. They want me to wait until I meet someone else…"

"So they're refusing, huh?"

...

...

Kaito didn't bother listening any further—he had completely lost his patience.

Staring coldly at the nine Sea Kings, he let out a snort. In the next instant, he shot into the air, and as he rose, Susanoo erupted into being.

But that wasn't all. As soon as he broke through Fish-Man Island's protective bubble, he activated the More-More Fruit. Susanoo's size instantly expanded to a terrifying 3,000 meters.

Though the Sea Kings were around 5,000 meters long, in front of this towering, deep-purple Susanoo, they were nothing more than oversized fish.

Neptune and Jinbei looked up at the sky, their eyes fixed on the god-like giant.

Neptune gulped and muttered,

"So that's the giant said to dwell within Admiral Kaito's eyes? Isn't that a bit too much?"

Jinbei said nothing. He was even more shaken than Neptune.

He had seen Kaito fight Mihawk back at Marineford. Kaito had used Susanoo then too. It was awe-inspiring back then as well—but its size now was on an entirely different scale.

Thinking back, he realized Kaito must not have been going all-out during that battle with Mihawk.

The more he thought about it, the more Jinbei feared Kaito's true strength. After all, who could say this was even his full power now?

Shirahoshi stared blankly at the massive, deep-purple giant charging the Sea Kings and murmured,

"That's… Kaito-sama?"

Outside Fish-Man Island, Susanoo stood with a long blade of glowing purple energy in each hand, surrounded by the nine Sea Kings.

Even the bird-headed Sea King that had refused Shirahoshi was now shaken by the overwhelming power on display. A sense of fear was rising in its heart.

The others had already begun instinctively retreating. The aura emanating from the giant made them feel as if they were suffocating.

Kaito stood with arms crossed inside the rhombus-shaped space atop Susanoo's head. His gaze was calm and indifferent. The Sea Kings that had "surrounded" him weren't even worth noticing.

If anything, it wasn't clear who had surrounded whom.

His eyes flicked toward the bird-headed Sea King that had spoken earlier. He asked coolly,

"You're the one who said we had to wait for someone to appear, right?"

Under the intense pressure of Kaito's Rinnegan, the Sea King felt an ancient fear awaken in its memory. Its massive mouth opened, seemingly speaking,

"Who are you?! Why do you have the same eyes as that person?!"

The Sea King could understand Kaito's words—but Kaito couldn't understand a word it was saying. As he looked at its gaping, terrified mouth, he could only assume it was spouting more cryptic nonsense.

Kaito had already lost all interest in its ramblings. He knew exactly who the other "person" they referred to was—Luffy. More of this ridiculous destiny talk.

He never cared for these vague prophecies and so-called chosen ones. He had the Rinnegan. He was a god.

Now, he would let this bird-headed Sea King be the first to taste divine power.

With a thought, Susanoo crossed its arms over its chest. The twin energy blades in its hands flared with blinding light, instantly boiling the surrounding seawater into steam.

Seeing the movement, the Sea King's massive pupils shrank. It turned to flee without hesitation.

But at that very instant, Susanoo moved. The twin blades slashed downward in a cross, unleashing a deep-purple X-shaped wave of energy.

Slash!

"ROOOAAARRR!!!"

A deafening roar echoed through the sea as a massive section of the Sea King's tail was severed by Susanoo's blades. A torrent of blood poured down, falling toward Fish-Man Island.

The sheer size of the severed tail terrified everyone below. If it hit, it wouldn't destroy the island entirely—but anyone in its path was doomed.

Jinbei's expression turned grim. He launched himself into the sky like a cannonball, piercing the bubble and entering the open sea. He assumed a Fish-Man Karate stance.

Kaito was still preoccupied with the Sea Kings. There was no way he could protect the island and fight at the same time—so now, the burden of protecting Fish-Man Island fell to him, the one who stood atop Fish-Man Street!

Jinbei tightened his fist at his waist and stared at the massive tail descending from above.

"It seems the defense of Fish-Man Island now rests on these old hands! Fish-Man Karate…"

Whoosh!

Just as he was about to unleash all his strength with a mighty punch, the massive tail vanished without a trace.

The sudden disappearance left Jinbei completely dumbfounded. His punch stopped mid-air as if someone had deflated him like a balloon.

Splurt!

He coughed up a mouthful of blood—the result of abruptly halting an attack that had drawn on his full strength.

But he had no time to worry about the backlash. He was still trying to make sense of what had just happened.

How had that enormous tail just… disappeared?

As Jinbei clutched his chest in confusion, Kaito's voice echoed through the water.

"Jinbei, I've already teleported the severed tail. Head back for now. I'll return once I've dealt with these guys."

Hearing Kaito's voice, Jinbei immediately shouted back at Susanoo,

"As expected of Admiral Kaito! I'll leave it to you, then!"

With that, he turned and rushed back.

...

Back in the plaza on Fish-Man Island, Neptune clapped Jinbei on the shoulder with deep admiration.

"Jinbei! That massive tail vanished without a trace under your attack! Your strength has grown again!"

Jinbei's face flushed red with embarrassment as he quickly waved his hands.

"Your Majesty, you've misunderstood! That was Admiral Kaito's ability. I couldn't possibly do something like that!"
