Their eyes met in midair, and in that instant, a violent storm erupted.
The next second, two opposing forces burst out simultaneously from their bodies, forming two spheres—one black and one white—that clashed in the sky.
Cracks split across the Red Line's foundation, spreading upward. The entire landmass groaned under the collision of repelling forces, nearly reaching its breaking point.
Kaito wasn't surprised that Imu could use Almighty Push. Most of the Ōtsutsuki clan had the innate ability to manipulate gravity or repulsion—it was practically part of their bloodline.
In this clash of forces, Imu and Kaito were evenly matched. Neither could overpower the other, and the opposing energies eventually dissolved into nothingness.
Imu let out a low hum, his hands darkening into pitch black as he lunged toward Kaito.
Kaito maneuvered a Truth-Seeking Orb into a barrier before him. Imu's fist slammed into it, ringing out with a deafening boom.
At that moment, five dark tendrils sprouted from Kaito's back and whipped toward Imu.
Before Imu could pull back his fist, his limbs were bound, and the last tendril coiled tightly around his throat.
With a single squeeze of Kaito's hand, the tendrils constricted. Imu's body was torn into five pieces, floating apart in midair.
What was eerie, however, was that there wasn't a drop of blood from his severed body. His expression even looked relaxed, amused as he remarked,
"This is the Dark-Dark Fruit's power, isn't it? Interesting."
As soon as he finished speaking, Imu's head and limbs drew back together with his torso, reforming in an instant without a trace of injury.
He folded his arms and smirked mockingly.
"Any other powers? Show me everything you've got."
Kaito said nothing. A transparent aura formed around his hand and smashed directly into Imu's face.
Crack!
Imu's face shattered like a mirror, warping grotesquely.
The strike left him briefly disoriented, but he had no intention of serving as Kaito's punching bag. With a swift kick, he aimed for Kaito's waist.
Kaito's eyes hardened, and the armor of Susanoo flared to life, blocking the strike.
Seizing the opening, Kaito grabbed Imu's face. The transparent aura in his hand expanded, spreading countless fractures across space itself.
Reality splintered and collapsed, revealing the void's black nothingness—Imu's head vanished within it.
Seemingly pressed, Imu burst out with another wave of repulsion and leapt back.
Kaito gave him no time to recover. Raising two fingers, he split the earth below—countless fragments of rock shot upward, surrounding Imu.
Purple light gleamed in Kaito's Rinnegan as he shouted,
"Planetary Devastation!"
A colossal sphere, spanning over a kilometer, floated in the sky, swallowing Imu whole.
This Planetary Devastation far outstripped the one that had once bound Whitebeard Jr. Even so, Kaito never believed it would truly hold Imu.
Sure enough, muffled detonations boomed from within the sphere. Tiny fractures spread across its surface, threatening collapse.
Kaito pressed his hands together and growled again.
A blinding white light burst from the core. In the next instant, a thunderous explosion tore the heavens apart—the sphere shattered violently.
As the glare faded, Imu emerged.
Gone was his earlier calm. A jagged piece of the horn on his forehead was missing, and it showed no signs of regenerating.
His eyes turned to Kaito, cold as ice.
"Uchiha Kaito… you've managed to anger me."
Kaito smirked and taunted,
"What's this? Did Imu-sama lose his temper? Didn't you say you wanted to see more of my abilities? We've only just begun."
Imu's gaze darkened viciously before he dropped toward the ground.
Biting into his finger, he slammed his hand onto the earth and roared,
"Come forth—Ten Tails!"
Black markings spread across the ground, followed by surging black flames that radiated an unbearable chill.
Under Kaito's watchful gaze, a massive blood-red eye surfaced from the flames, rolling before it locked onto him.
Kaito frowned and unleashed a bolt of thick purple lightning at the eye.
Imu only sneered. With arms spread wide in mock embrace, the black flames rushed into the eye, causing it to swell and rise.
In moments, the flames shaped into a towering, pitch-black beast—its height spanning a kilometer.
Imu flew upward, landing atop its head.
Black veins sprouted from the beast's back and latched onto his body.
His face twisted into a mad grin as he looked up at Kaito.
"Well? Isn't it beautiful?"
Kaito's eyes narrowed with undisguised disgust at the pulsating black veins tethered to Imu.
"Disgusting."
Deep violet energy surged around him, coalescing into Susanoo's towering form.
With a single grip, Susanoo solidified into a thousand-meter giant, standing against the Ten Tails.
Imu eyed the construct with admiration.
"Magnificent. This isn't a Devil Fruit ability, is it?"
Kaito stood with arms crossed inside Susanoo's head, uninterested in answering. All he wanted was to split Imu and his grotesque beast in two.
Feeling Kaito's intent, Susanoo unsheathed its immense purple blade and brought it down on Imu.
Imu chuckled and willed the Ten Tails' tails to lash out, binding the blade tightly.
With smug satisfaction, he jeered,
"Is that all you've got?"
"Heh… how about this?"
Lightning crackled in Kaito's eyes as Susanoo's blade blazed into a searing violet sword of thunder. The tails hissed and burned under the scorching heat, forcing the Ten Tails to howl in agony.
Its tails recoiled, releasing the blade. Imu's expression faltered.
Before he could react, the massive blade cleaved downward, splitting both him and the Ten Tails clean in half—just as Kaito had wished.
Susanoo didn't strike again. Instead, it twirled the blade with a flourish, dripping mockery in its every motion.
Kaito feigned surprise, throwing Imu's earlier taunt back at him,
"Is that all you've got?"
