Chapter 330 - Chapter 330: Just a Warm-Up, Really

"Has Kitagawa Gen already made his move?"

Nagato learned this information through White Zetsu, and his brows immediately lifted slightly.

Originally, he had still been weighing when exactly he should act, or whether he should go reinforce that line.

After all, in his view, he was the Sage of Six Paths' "mortal proxy," and the only ones qualified to be his opponents were those "Kage."

As for other ordinary ninja, he had never truly taken them seriously; dealing with them was nothing more than a matter of convenience.

Only by finding a meaningful target could he fight better, and only then could his power erupt more quickly.

"But now it seems… my target has appeared."

Nagato murmured softly. The Rinnegan in his eyes emitted an unusual gleam, causing the White Zetsu who had come to inform him to blink.

"It looks like you're already prepared. But Kitagawa Gen isn't ordinary, you know—his power isn't something normal people can compare to."

"It's precisely a strong opponent like him that can better stimulate my own power."

Facing White Zetsu's words, Nagato had no intention of hiding anything, and he bore no ill will toward White Zetsu either.

After all, the recovery of his body really had been thanks to this fellow, White Zetsu.

"Where is he now? I need to hurry over as soon as possible."

"He's around the Land of Hot Water and the Land of Iron. Do you need my help?"

White Zetsu blinked, asking curiously.

"Although I'm not as fast as Tobi and the others, traveling isn't a problem for me."

"Then I'll have to trouble you. I need to speed things up!"

Nagato didn't think much further. Right now, he felt the power throughout his entire body surging, and he could hardly wait any longer!

And someone else who could hardly wait was Kimimaro as well. Looking at the White Zetsu before him, he didn't hesitate in the slightest.

"Kitagawa Gen is a good target, and the things this guy has done—I won't forget them."

To this day, Kimimaro still hadn't forgotten how miserable he had been the first time he encountered that bastard Kitagawa Gen, and just how badly that damned Earth Release technique had wrecked him.

It was precisely that operation that worsened his illness, leaving him to this day unable to become Orochimaru's "vessel."

This matter, taking advantage of this opportunity, perhaps it's time for them to seriously calculate things!

"Jūgo, you go with the main force, I have some things I need to handle."

However, Kimimaro didn't forget his two companions, with Jūgo being the most important.

Just as his words ended, he had already instructed White Zetsu to cover him, and they immediately sank into the earth.

"Tch, this is such a hassle."

Suigetsu couldn't help but complain as he saw this.

"Really, do they think they can match the Fifth Hokage? This is simply reckless!" he said.

Sighing, Jūgo heard Suigetsu's words and felt somewhat dissatisfied, but stopped himself just before saying anything.

Just how terrifying Kitagawa Gen was now, no one could say for sure, and in his opinion, Kimimaro going after Kitagawa Gen was bound to have a bad outcome.

"We'll focus on our own tasks, and be a little careful."

In the end, Jūgo could only sigh, silently wishing his friend good luck.

...

"Kitagawa Gen has already made a move?"

Obito was also somewhat surprised when he heard the information passed through White Zetsu.

He hadn't expected Kitagawa Gen to act so quickly. The battle had just begun, and this guy was already planning to go all in?

"Perhaps there's something else behind this. Perhaps…"

Suddenly, Obito thought of something, and his fist clenched tightly.

"His 'evolution' needs constant battles. Only through continuous combat can he fully complete it!"

Upon realizing this, Obito seemed to understand why he had always been one step behind Kitagawa Gen.

Since the first time he encountered him nine years ago, Kitagawa Gen seemed to have fought an unimaginable number of battles.

Even as a mere Genin, he continuously faced powerful enemies. Even their Akatsuki organization became a "stepping stone" for this guy!

"Now, he's probably very close to completing his 'evolution,' so is that why he's rushing into battle?"

Thinking of this, Obito couldn't help but tense up.

He didn't know where the limits of "evolution" were, nor did he know how many battles it would take to finally walk this "evolution" journey to its end.

But he knew that the "Rin" in his heart had always been encouraging him—pushing him to keep fighting, and to keep releasing his power through battle!

"I'm afraid I can't start from low-level battles, so accelerating through you isn't bad either."

Thinking of this, Obito also decided to go take a look. After all, Nagato was heading that way too, and those Rinnegan couldn't be left with Nagato!

"How are Uchiha Madara and the others? How well-prepared are they?"

"They'll probably move soon as well."

The White Zetsu at the side blinked at Obito's question, then spoke with a grin.

"After all, Kitagawa Gen has come out, so they can also go to Konohagakure and search properly for the thing they want to find."

"Tell them to move faster."

Obito thought for a moment, then spoke.

"Even if there's no need to rush right now, getting results earlier is still far better than knowing nothing."

...

Kitagawa Gen himself probably never expected that, in some people's eyes, he had already become not much different from a walking calamity.

He had only just rushed to the Land of Hot Water and the Kumogakure front, and the entire Akatsuki had already started moving against him.

Of course, even if he knew, he wouldn't care too much—because from the moment he began acting, he hadn't hidden anything.

"Gen? Why are you here?"

And it wasn't only Akatsuki who noticed. The Allied Shinobi Forces also discovered his movements immediately.

Shikamaru's squad was operating over here at the moment, and Jiraiya, Tsunade, and the others were here as well.

These two hadn't joined the Special Operations Squad, but instead chose to enter the battlefield directly—this front was what they were responsible for.

"That's strange. Weren't you supposed to be in the main command room?"

"I had someone go bring the Third Hokage over to cover for a while. He's about to retire anyway, so being busy for a bit is more fitting."

Kitagawa Gen smiled indifferently, then turned his gaze toward the distance.

"Besides, as a Kage, I can't just leave everything to you, can I?"

"Why do I feel like you came over on your own because you were bored?"

Jiraiya squinted his eyes, his face full of confusion as he asked, while Tsunade simply shrugged.

"But it's good that you came. At least we can save ourselves a lot of trouble."

Although after returning to Konohagakure Tsunade spent her days drinking heavily and gambling with the First Hokage, she knew Kitagawa Gen's abilities very well.

Kitagawa Gen coming here was definitely not a bad thing.

"But I always feel that you ran over here because you already knew who the guy on the other side was."

"Yeah, more or less."

Kitagawa Gen shrugged. His gaze drifted toward the distance, and a mischievous smile surfaced on his face unconsciously.

"After all, they're all old acquaintances of ours—and some are old acquaintances of your grandfather as well. I think they'd quite like to see me."

"So in the end, you did it on purpose."

Jiraiya scratched his head. He really couldn't help rolling his eyes, and Tsunade at the side nodded as well.

"That's right. You liked disgusting him when he was alive—now that he's dead, you still won't let him go?"

"I say, aren't you supposed to be seniors? Why do you always look at me with that kind of attitude?"

The smile on Kitagawa Gen's face grew even brighter. However, while the three of them chatted and laughed, Shikamaru, Chōji, and Ino were starting to get headaches.

With these three chatting away, even given how close they all were, it really wasn't possible to cut in right now.

And besides, was it really appropriate to be casually chatting in a place like this?

"Kitagawa Gen!"

Sure enough, right as they were talking, a thunder-like roar echoed across heaven and earth!

The next moment, several figures descended from the sky, slamming heavily down in front of them.

These people were tall, an overwhelming pressure rushing toward them, and at the same time White Zetsu quietly appeared all around.

Before they realized it, the group had already been surrounded!

"Oh? You came pretty fast."

Looking at everything before him, Kitagawa Gen couldn't help revealing a mocking smile.

"But with just you few, isn't it still a bit lacking? Especially you, Fourth Raikage."

When the Fourth Raikage heard Kitagawa Gen's words, his expression darkened. Those painful memories from the past involuntarily surged up in his mind.

Whether it was being defeated by Kitagawa Gen in the Land of Cedar, even losing his left arm, or the later Chūnin Exams in Konohagakure, where he faced three alone and killed two in a counterattack—

These things were impossible for him to forget, no matter what he did.

"I heard that after I died, you even launched a surprise attack on Kumogakure."

Most importantly, Kumogakure's situation right now was nothing short of disastrous. He had already learned of Kumogakure's ordeal from others.

He even knew perfectly well about the "hedging their bets" choice Kumogakure was making now.

And the one who had smashed Kumogakure's "backbone" was the guy right in front of him!

"That's right. I did it."

Kitagawa Gen was blunt about it. With his arms crossed over his chest, he spoke with disdain.

"Back then, if you hadn't made that kind of decision during the Chūnin Exams, Kumogakure wouldn't have ended up like this afterward. Aren't all the problems because of you?"

"You—"

The Fourth Raikage's fist had already clenched tight, while the Third Raikage furrowed his brows and spoke in a low voice.

"Brat, you did things that ruthlessly—aren't you afraid you'll get retribution?"

"And what about you? You people never seemed afraid of retribution, did you?"

Kitagawa Gen's gaze shifted slightly. The way he looked was as if he were staring at an idiot.

"All these years you've run rampant in the shinobi world, and who knows how many small hidden villages and reclusive ninja clans you've pillaged."

"Not a single one of their secret techniques failed to end up in your hands, right? And it's not just them—even Konohagakure, you dared to take advantage of us while we were in trouble."

"Under the name of peace talks, you sent a group of suicide troops into Konohagakure, intending to seize the Byakugan, and even used war as a threat."

"I'd say your situation right now fits everything you did back then perfectly, doesn't it?"

As for the evil acts Kumogakure had committed, they were probably beyond counting.

That was also why, after Deidara's stance of "the glory belongs to everyone, the responsibility falls on me," he was very happy to go to Kumogakure and make a proper mess of things.

He never denied that, one by one, Kumogakure's Raikage had guts—but things were relative.

They were good to their own people, but that wasn't necessarily true for other villages. With grudges piling up like that, they were hard to resolve.

Especially since Kitagawa Gen had even given them a chance—and they ruined it themselves. That couldn't be blamed on him.

"Hey, this doesn't seem like the time to provoke them, does it, Gen?"

Listening to Kitagawa Gen's words, Shikamaru looked at the Raikage who had already sunk into fury, and at the White Zetsu growing more numerous all around, and couldn't help swallowing hard.

Fortunately, the Allied Shinobi Forces behind them also rushed up quickly—clearly, the battle was already on the verge of erupting.

"Be careful, Gen."

Ino quietly stepped to Kitagawa Gen's side. As she whispered the warning, she also drew a kunai.

Clearly, she intended to face these guys together with Kitagawa Gen.

"Don't worry, they—"

Kitagawa Gen let out a light chuckle, but at that very instant, a bolt of lightning suddenly struck.

His words were cut short. The group leapt away in unison, avoiding the lightning, and then they heard Kinkaku and Ginkaku speak.

"I heard you're quite similar to the Second Hokage?"

"Perfect, then. The Second Hokage died at our hands back then—this Fifth Hokage of yours doesn't seem bad either!"

The brothers Kinkaku and Ginkaku were the militant faction of Kumogakure, the first to thirst for conquering other villages through war.

Seeing these two lunatics, Kitagawa Gen couldn't even be bothered to speak, though Kaguya showed a hint of surprise.

"They actually have the Nine-Tails' chakra in their bodies—and it's coming from within. That's strange."

"In this world, there are all kinds of strange people. Don't be surprised."

Kitagawa Gen gave a quiet laugh inwardly, but Kaguya looked puzzled.

"By the way, what do you plan to do now? Or rather, what do you plan to do about those three?"

"Don't rush. Those three won't appear that quickly. And you know, even without me, this world wouldn't necessarily fear the Ōtsutsuki."

Kitagawa Gen took a small step forward. Looking at the mass of White Zetsu before him, along with those few Kumogakure ninja, he spoke calmly.

"For a thousand years, the shinobi world has been at war. Its tactics and techniques have reached an unimaginable peak, and the will of its ninja is exceptionally strong. You know all this—but do you know…"

"…to what extent it has developed?"

As he spoke, natural chakra suddenly gathered around Kitagawa Gen, and in that instant his eyes turned a stark white.

[Hum—]

Chakra pulsed slightly. The next moment, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Ino, Shikamaru, and Chōji were instantly transferred away.

When they reappeared, they were already among the main force!

"Gen!"

Ino spoke anxiously, while Shikamaru and Chōji wore grave expressions. Jiraiya and Tsunade also frowned.

"He's about to—"

"Next—"

Kitagawa Gen's expression remained calm. His white eyes swept across the thousands of White Zetsu before him, as well as the four Kumogakure ninja.

"Then let's take a good look at what this world becomes once its tactics and techniques are trained to their peak!"

Hearing these words, Kaguya felt somewhat baffled. She didn't quite understand what Kitagawa Gen was thinking.

Likewise, the Allied Shinobi Forces in the rear wore puzzled expressions.

They had been excited upon discovering Kitagawa Gen's arrival. After all, the strength of this "future Fifth Hokage" was difficult to measure.

His arrival could naturally solve many problems—but now he was standing alone at the very front. What was he planning to do?

"Lord Jiraiya, should we—"

After thinking it over, Shikamaru asked softly. Ino and Chōji at the side were also full of concern.

Even Tsunade frowned, as if considering being ready to rush over at any moment.

"Let's just watch."

However, after a moment of silence, Jiraiya gave a wry smile and shook his head. This immediately made Tsunade look puzzled.

"Really do nothing? Even though he once overran Kumogakure and faced Ōtsutsuki Genshiki head-on, still—"

"Huh? Didn't overrunning Kumogakure happen together with the Tsuchikage and the Mizukage?"

Chōji blinked. He really didn't know the details of that incident, while Shikamaru thought of Ōtsutsuki Genshiki.

When had Kitagawa Gen ever faced that terrifying guy directly? Why had he never even heard of it?

Unfortunately, there was no one to explain it now, because Kitagawa Gen had already begun walking slowly toward the mass of White Zetsu.

"I didn't expect these White Zetsu to be used like this. It's truly a pity."

As Kitagawa Gen advanced, Kaguya's voice rang out once more.

"They carry a trace of Asura's power, but they're still far too weak. Is dealing with them difficult for you?"

"It's not difficult. The key is that I need to warm up—and also—"

Kitagawa Gen continued stepping forward, one step at a time. Even though he stood alone, he seemed to unleash an astonishing presence, as if commanding thousands upon thousands of troops.

"There are some things I don't want to hand over to others so cheaply."

"?"

Kaguya looked utterly confused, but Kitagawa Gen said nothing further.

His pace suddenly quickened. In the blink of an eye, he broke into a light run straight toward the army of White Zetsu.

"That guy…"

The Third Raikage, the Fourth Raikage, and the brothers Kinkaku and Ginkaku all furrowed their brows. For reasons unknown, each of them felt a faint, unsettling throb rise in their hearts.

Especially as Kitagawa Gen continued to accelerate, they either subconsciously tightened their grip on their spirit weapons, or clenched their fists as chakra began to surge.

Even the White Zetsu seemed to move with a slight delay at this moment; they too appeared unable to withstand the pressure emanating from Kitagawa Gen.

"How is this guy even more terrifying than before?"

The Fourth Raikage couldn't quite make sense of it. Kitagawa Gen had indeed been frightening before, but it hadn't seemed to reach this level.

Now, however, that dreadful aura made it feel difficult to face him head-on—even in the state of Impure World Reincarnation.

Even standing together with his father, with two other figures also in Impure World Reincarnation at his side, and countless White Zetsu surrounding them, he still felt an unease he couldn't shake.

That unease made his breathing grow heavy, and even he himself couldn't clearly explain what was happening.

"Charge!"

The White Zetsu also seemed unable to endure it any longer. Especially as Kitagawa Gen drew closer, the oppressive force made even these mindless creatures feel discomfort.

Finally, one White Zetsu shouted, and the others surged forward in a mass, charging straight toward Kitagawa Gen!

The vast army of White Zetsu spread out like a white tide, overwhelming the scene—while Kitagawa Gen advanced alone, straight toward it.

"Please don't let anything happen…"

Even though Shikamaru, Jiraiya, and the others knew how strong Kitagawa Gen was, they couldn't help but worry. Yet in the very next instant, their mouths fell open involuntarily.

Not only them, but also the ninja who were still somewhat dazed and unable to act without orders—and even the Fourth Raikage and the others on the opposite side—were the same.

[Boom—]

At the instant the two sides collided, a tremendous roar erupted. In just that brief moment of contact, countless White Zetsu were already flung high into the air.

Their bodies slammed into the ground in grotesque, twisted shapes, and their vitality was completely drained; at that moment, they were already unable to move.

Within the White Zetsu army, screams rose and fell one after another. Amid the mass, Kitagawa Gen moved like a butterfly weaving through flowers.

His movements were concise and efficient. Each swing of the short blade condensed from Yin–Yang Release sent another White Zetsu off for good.

[Whoosh—]

Twisting his body to evade an attack launched from behind by a White Zetsu, Kitagawa Gen slashed out in one motion, directly severing the White Zetsu's neck.

Then, with a light step backward, he dodged the White Zetsu's sneak attack from behind—one he had noticed long ago. He lowered his body, and the blade instantly pierced straight through the creature.

Next, he threw a punch, sending one White Zetsu flying backward. Under that immense force, more than a dozen White Zetsu behind it were all crushed down.

Stepping forward again, the fists of two White Zetsu swept past his body, almost brushing against him.

But with a yank of his left hand, he instantly seized one White Zetsu by the arm, and that White Zetsu swung its fist uncontrollably, smashing it into its own comrades!

[Bang—]

One White Zetsu hit the ground instantly, and that White Zetsu—together with another one that still hadn't reacted to what had happened—was already sent flying backward.

At that moment, their chests had completely caved in. At the same time, the short blade in his hand swept across once again.

One White Zetsu hadn't even had time to react before it was instantly cut in two!

"Ah!"

Wails and screams echoed across the battlefield without end. Kitagawa Gen moved through the White Zetsu army like a dancer, drifting ceaselessly among them.

Even though there were tens of thousands of White Zetsu, not a single one of them could pose any threat to him at all.

In a rhythm all his own, he carried out a cold, efficient slaughter; wherever he passed was nothing but a mess!

In just a few dozen seconds, no one knew how many White Zetsu had already fallen to his hand.

"So this is the power of the Fifth Hokage…"

The Allied Shinobi Forces were utterly stunned. Even though they could tell these White Zetsu weren't much, their sheer numbers were enough to make anyone's scalp tingle.

Yet Kitagawa Gen faced all of it with such ease, with such composure—this was truly terrifying!

Most importantly, they couldn't see Kitagawa Gen's movements at all. All they saw was a flickering afterimage, and the White Zetsu were already dropping in swathes.

"Can you even see clearly what just happened?"

Tsunade swallowed and couldn't help asking in a low voice.

"And if it were you, could you do this?"

"You're overestimating me."

Jiraiya's face was full of embarrassment. He also wished he could reach that level, but he was very clear about his own limits.

"Gen's speed is too fast. I can't see him at all. And I might be able to clear out these guys, but at this kind of efficiency…"

With that kind of efficiency, Jiraiya could only describe it as inhuman—too fast, far too fast.

Moreover, and most importantly, Kitagawa Gen was only using taijutsu right now—he hadn't used any jutsu at all!

Once he started using ninjutsu to launch an attack, Jiraiya didn't even dare imagine what the scene would turn into.

"Tch, has the gap already grown this wide…"

Jiraiya and the others watched in stunned disbelief. Shikamaru's trio were the same—they were also shocked by Kitagawa Gen's efficiency.

"So terrifying…"

Chōji couldn't help swallowing, and Ino nodded along, but her eyes kept gleaming with a bright light.

"Senpai is really too strong. So this is Senpai's power?"

The Allied Shinobi Forces were dumbfounded, and the Fourth Raikage's side wasn't doing any better.

"This guy… no wonder he could capture Kumogakure."

Kinkaku and Ginkaku exchanged a look. With this level of power, Kumogakure simply couldn't hold.

And more importantly, they had heard this guy not only knew the Flying Thunder God Technique, but also Wood Release.

They had originally thought this guy might be some kind of fusion of the First and Second Hokage, but now it seemed like that wasn't quite it.

"This guy even has a bit of Uchiha Madara's style? But it also doesn't seem exactly the same?"

They felt like this guy was just warming up.

"Hmph. Is he even faster than this old man was back then?"

The Third Raikage frowned tightly, while the Fourth Raikage could no longer hold it in.

"We can't let him keep going. We have to do something!"

"Indeed. Since he's the Fifth Hokage, we should do our best to keep him here!"

The Third Raikage took a deep breath, then turned his head to look at Kinkaku and Ginkaku.

"Even though I hate you, we should do something now as well. What do you say?"

"As if that even needs asking."

Kinkaku and Ginkaku curled their lips into a cold smile, their gaze fixed straight on Kitagawa Gen as he continued his slaughter.

And Kitagawa Gen was still weaving through the tens of thousands of White Zetsu without pause—until, all of a sudden, he sensed something.

In an instant, his body halted. He grabbed a White Zetsu by the throat and gave it a slight twist.

With a crisp "crack," he snapped the White Zetsu's neck, then pulled it in front of him as a shield.

Almost at the same time, a streak of lightning flashed, shooting straight at him head-on!

[Boom—]

The lightning struck the White Zetsu's corpse, producing a dull thud.

And Kitagawa Gen used the momentum to leap backward, effortlessly defusing this sneak attack.

[Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—]

Accompanied by several wind-rending sounds, the Fourth Raikage and the others moved in and blocked Kitagawa Gen's path.

"Kitagawa Gen."

The Fourth Raikage let out a muffled, rumbling low shout, while the Third Raikage was already wreathed in lightning.

"Even though I find you somewhat interesting, this isn't a place where you can run wild—and we also have a score to settle properly!"

"Brat, I wonder how you compare to Senju Tobirama back then?"

Kinkaku and Ginkaku also stared fixedly at Kitagawa Gen, and the treasured tools in their hands emitted a glow.

"Hah."

However, Kitagawa Gen merely shook his head lightly. His gaze swept over the four of them in turn, and then he let out a sigh.

"To be honest, I'm really puzzled as to why you always have this delusion that if you just try a bit harder, you can beat me. Actually, I really want to ask—"

"What, exactly, is making you have such a strange delusion?"

That was what he asked, but he also knew this was the mindset ninjas had to possess after the shinobi world's thousand years of war.

After all, without such a mindset, how would they have the courage to face those powerful enemies?

It was just that, when it was directed at him, it was inevitably a bit unpleasant.

"Forget it. Talking nonsense with you dead men is truly meaningless. It'd be better to send you off as soon as possible."

"You're really confident."

The Third Raikage frowned, while the Fourth Raikage snorted coldly.

"Right now, I'm completely restored—and in this state, can you kill me again?"

"Hm?"

Kitagawa Gen fell momentarily silent, then laughed disdainfully.

"What, you're dead and still that proud? And—"

As he spoke, an immense chakra surged in an instant. In the next moment, fierce flames poured forth.

"How can you be so sure that just because you're Edo Tensei, I have no way to deal with you?"

The raging flames spread across the sky, like a wildfire erupting, and in the blink of an eye they dyed the entire sky a blazing red!

"This!?"

Staring at the flames that filled their vision, and the scorching heat rushing toward them, the Allied Shinobi Forces in the distance all froze.

Powerful Fire Release wasn't something they had never seen, and quite a few of them were even fairly proficient with Fire Release.

But Fire Release like Kitagawa Gen's—casually unleashed, yet like a natural disaster—they were seeing it for the first time!

"Dodge!"

And the Third Raikage instantly sensed something was wrong: within those flames, there seemed to be some special power threatening them.

In fact, there was no need for him to remind them at all—the other three had already flashed away in an instant.

[Boom—]

A tremendous roar erupted in an instant, and the ferocious flames had already covered more than half the battlefield.

The White Zetsu caught within it let out despairing wails, as the savage flames all but swallowed them up in the blink of an eye!

"What the hell is going on?"

The Fourth Raikage and the others dodged swiftly, moving at high speed to avoid being engulfed by the flames.

But flames like these were truly beyond their imagination. Before they could think further, another powerful force exploded above their heads.

"Careful—he's coming again!"

Looking up, several fire dragons in the sky let out terrifying roars.

Kitagawa Gen stood in midair, charging toward them together with those fire dragons!

[Boom—]

[Boom—]

[Boom—]

The tremendous roars shook the earth, and the extreme flames dyed the sky an even more vivid red.

In that moment, the ground was nearly shattered by the flame-forged dragons, and Kitagawa Gen had already flashed forward and rushed straight at the Fourth Raikage!

"Y—"

The Fourth Raikage never expected that Kitagawa Gen would set his sights directly on him.

His gaze sharpened as he was about to counterattack, but in the next instant, Kitagawa Gen's figure had already vanished!

"Don't you know? Even if you're dead, the Flying Thunder God mark is still there."

At the same time, Kitagawa Gen's voice sounded by his ear.

"Damn it!"

That voice darkened his expression. Almost on instinct, he swung his left arm to strike back—but a blade edge had already swept past his arm.

"And didn't you say you've recovered? This is much better now."

The Fourth Raikage's heart jolted. He stared in disbelief as his left arm was severed once again.

This time there was no blood spraying—but it felt even more terrifying, because he inexplicably sensed that he had completely lost his left arm!

[Thud—]

Another dull impact. His abdomen was struck hard; even though he didn't feel much, his body still instinctively curled up.

Kitagawa Gen gave the Fourth Raikage no chance to react. He reached out, seized him by the throat, and hoisted him up.

"So—"

The Fourth Raikage still tried to struggle, but at that moment, Kitagawa Gen's voice sounded again.

"Do you really think you're fit to dance?"
