Chapter 310: Yue Xuanji White-Haired, Red-Eyed Mode

The familiar voice and the heavy information in its words made Luo Wusheng instinctively look up toward the source.

But before he could react, something struck his upturned face.

"Hold on!"

A nearly irresistible force slammed into Luo Wusheng's head, making him almost lose his balance. Just before the dizziness set in, he caught a glimpse of what hit him.

Hmm, the thing that struck him felt rather... peculiar.

It was a small, delicate white foot.

Unlike Bai Xiaoyao or Ling Shuangxue's dainty feet, this one felt slightly softer, smaller, and carried a tender glow of youth, with a faint rosy hue.

As he looked further up, his blurred vision caught a fleeting image of disheveled clothing... and beyond that...

"One kick isn't enough? If you keep imagining things, the next kick won't be from me... What? You won't? Ha! Silly fox, I know exactly what you're thinking!"

"Instead of that, hurry and give me some clothes! You wouldn't want your dear Young Master here to see me like this, would you?"

"Hmph! If it weren't for me, could you still 'see' your precious Young Master from so far away in the Netherland?"

The voice he heard made the dizzy Luo Wusheng blink in confusion.

As his vision cleared, a petite figure stood before him, back turned. The small, elegant foot that had struck him gracefully stepped off the chessboard onto the opposite bed. Draped loosely in robes, the figure's shoulders and stance exuded both composure and disarray.

A cascade of striking silver hair tumbled down, though it appeared uncharacteristically... messy?

"Miss Yue?"

Even though something felt off, Luo Wusheng couldn't mistake this figure.

This iconic white-haired loli was unmistakably none other than Yue Xuanji, the Tower Master of the Heavenly Divination Tower.

And when the young girl turned to face him, Luo Wusheng froze again.

"Don't doubt it. It's me. And I already know what you want to ask..."

The petite figure, lightly draped in robes that barely concealed her frame, knelt on the opposite side of the chessboard. Her snowy hair, slightly disheveled, revealed a pair of striking red eyes that glowed faintly with a fiery brilliance.

"...Those eyes…" Luo Wusheng murmured in astonishment.

"Indeed, as you see. These red eyes belong to that silly fox."

The petite figure tilted her head slightly as she began to untangle her messy hair, fully revealing the crimson glint in her gaze.

Those fiery, otherworldly red pupils shimmered faintly in the dim room, reflecting Luo Wusheng's stunned expression with a hint of warmth incongruous with her otherwise annoyed demeanor.

"How is this possible..." Luo Wusheng was left speechless.

He never imagined that Yue Xuanji could activate… White-Haired, Red-Eyed, Barefoot Loli Mode!

Was this some kind of blessing in disguise?

No—how did this even happen?

"Listen up." Yue Xuanji began calmly, her voice steady despite the disarray. "I'm currently under the influence of that silly fox's Heart Fox technique. Whatever I see, she sees. We can also communicate through this technique, even though she's still in the Netherland."

"Moreover, she can partially influence some of my actions. This disheveled appearance? Entirely her fault. Isn't it bad enough that she tried to—hey, silly fox, stop pulling my hair! Your precious Young Master is right here; behave yourself—Ow! If you do it again, I'll close my eyes!"

Watching as the previously composed Yue Xuanji suddenly yanked at her own hair, seemingly in a struggle against an invisible foe, Luo Wusheng fell into silence.

Her lips were clenched in frustration, her gaze wavering, yet frequently darting toward him. He said nothing, choosing instead to observe.

After piecing together the situation, Luo Wusheng could only shake his head in amazement.

Apparently, Yao Ji had used some bizarre technique to "half-possess" Yue Xuanji remotely.

First, Yao Ji's signature trait—those crimson eyes—temporarily replaced Yue Xuanji's usual starlit ones, allowing her to see everything Yue Xuanji saw, even from afar.

The two could also engage in real-time, long-distance communication.

Beyond that, this so-called "half-possession" enabled Yao Ji to briefly control Yue Xuanji's actions, albeit with apparent limitations.

'These are just the basics...'

Luo Wusheng glanced up.

Yue Xuanji, now visibly more disheveled than before, had added an extra layer of robes over herself but still appeared utterly discomposed.

To be honest, Luo Wusheng had never seen the mischievous, coldly calculating white-haired loli in such a state.

How satisfying! A moment worthy of universal celebration!

Finally, Yue Xuanji, the master prankster, was getting a taste of her own medicine.

"—Even though the silly fox took over my eyes, I can still use my Art of Divination," Yue Xuanji said sharply, her tone warning Luo Wusheng not to gloat.

He instinctively shrank back, noticing her raise her small, pale hands. With an irritated huff, she gathered her messy hair and tied it into twin ponytails.

And now, Yue Xuanji had entered White-Haired, Red-Eyed, Barefoot, Twin-Ponytail Loli Mode.

Good job, Yao Ji!

Luo Wusheng couldn't help but laugh, but Yue Xuanji's expression darkened even further.

Karma works wonders, Yue Xuanji. Did you think messing with Yao Ji wouldn't come back to bite you someday?

No—perhaps she always knew this day would come? Their mutual grudges seemed… endless.

With a quiet sigh, Luo Wusheng shifted his gaze back to the chessboard.

The blackwood token still lay there, pristine and unmoved.

The Holy Saint Token... hadn't been activated?

"I know you have many questions," Yue Xuanji said, her voice softening. "But first, let's play a few rounds of chess—using those simple rules of yours. There are some things I can share with you now."

Luo Wusheng snapped his head up to look at her.

There she was, tying her hair into two buns, her red eyes gleaming with a mix of embarrassment and resolve.

For the third time, Luo Wusheng failed to suppress his grin.

Yue Xuanji's expression darkened further.

"Let's hope you can still laugh like this when it's your turn."
