Chapter 361: Luo Wusheng — "I'm Not Done Watching Yet"

Luo Wusheng, a man with the memories of a modern, internet-savvy youth from a previous life, had seen plenty of "premium content" in his time. His stash of secret folders could make grown men weep. But never—absolutely never— had watching an "action movie" ever been this exhilarating.

His scalp tingled. Literally.

Just think about it:

A peerless beauty with unmatched authority—a cold, dignified Empress who could command an entire nation with a single word—was currently sitting in secret, her face flushed red, sneaking peeks at a very explicit film…

And the kicker?

The stars of this "film" were him and her.

At the same time, his clever, intuitive, dangerously perceptive junior sister—who shared a bond with him that tiptoed between family and something far more dangerous—was right behind him, gently teasing him, while clearly trying to puzzle out the source of his unexplainable excitement.

Luo Wusheng hated these kinds of twisted plot setups…

—Or so he told himself, as he desperately tried to rein in the involuntary reaction rising in his body.

Thank goodness he was no rookie. His cultivation was close to the Nascent Soul Realm, and more importantly, he had plenty of "experience"—both virtual and, more recently, hands-on. With strong willpower and deep breathing, he managed to keep it together.

Barely.

And if worse came to worst, hey, he had a teleportation spell. No need to awkwardly bend over or walk funny.

He took a deep breath.

Calm. Composure. Control.

(…How the hell did things end up like this again?)

He was seriously losing it.

His vision was currently split in two.

One half showed the quiet, spacious Immortal Pool Pavilion he was currently in. Empty, peaceful, and serene.

The other… was the familiar yet now wildly inappropriate sight of the Empress's private bathing chamber—specifically the section around the Immortal Pool itself.

She had her back to the viewing angle, ears flushed red. Her elegant hands fidgeted restlessly, fingers sometimes twitching toward the water screen before pulling back again.

Her ruby-red lips bit gently into themselves as her flawless side profile was tinted by a rosy blush.

From time to time, the Empress head would swivel to the left and to the right, checking the room to confirm no one was watching, after which she then would exhale in relief.

Then… her gaze returned to the water screen.

Her fingers reached out again… hovered… hesitated… then dropped. Again.

Her legs, visible beneath the red silk of her imperial robes, subtly rubbed together before stiffening as she tried to restrain herself.

Watching this entire sequence play out, Luo Wusheng gulped down a mouthful of saliva.

(This… this hesitant, inexperienced vibe… She's clearly watching that kind of film for the first time… though yeah, I already kind of suspected that.)

After all, this world wasn't exactly known for its streaming services. And from what he knew of the Empress's personality, she didn't seem like the kind of person to willingly expose herself to such things.

So then… why?

Why was she watching this kind of film?

And not just any film—one starring the two of them.

Luo Wusheng's eyes drifted back to the water screen, where the two lead actors—bodies entangled, faces unmistakably familiar—continued their steamy, rhythmic performance.

That fire he'd just forced down in his chest? It was roaring back with a vengeance.

And to make things worse, his lovely little junior sister was still pressed up against him, her warm, fragrant body casually wrapped around his, her soft voice close to his ear. The scent of her hair and the tender heat of her touch were doing nothing to help the situation.

Regret began to creep in.

He had only invited her over to shift her attention away from his eye's strange condition. Asking her to pet his head like this?

Terrible idea.

Watching that while being intimately touched by a beautiful girl he couldn't make a move on, all while trying to act completely normal…

This was some next-level psychological torture!

And yet, Luo Wusheng couldn't tear his attention away from the Antediluvian Nether Eye's projected view.

Like the Empress herself, sneaking glances at the water screen over and over again… he too had become a proud, card-carrying member of the "I-hate-this-but-I-love-it" club.

(So… what the hell is this thing? A spell? An artifact? Was this the weird behavior I noticed from her earlier?)

He squinted again at the water screen's odd, pulsating glow.

Was this all really just because she wanted to…

Watch a naughty video starring the two of them?

His head spun.

Something definitely wasn't right here.

From his point of view, Luo Wusheng could clearly see the moment when the video on the water screen progressed to the undressing scene—and oh boy, the Empress absolutely lost it.

Her entire body tensed with embarrassment.

If she had planned for this outcome from the start, even if caught off guard, her reaction wouldn't have been this extreme. No, this was clearly an accident. A beautiful, unexpected surprise. Either her original intention had gone awry, or this... was just an unintended side effect of her trying to achieve something else entirely.

And now? The naive, bookish little Empress had been thoroughly hooked—trapped by the sheer novelty of the experience, and perhaps, the illicit thrill of taboo. She just… couldn't bring herself to look away.

(Watching her own spicy video… Why does this feel so wrong?)

(But maybe the Empress, having no prior experience, won't even feel that kind of weirdness. She seems… oddly into it.)

Then something strange began to creep up in Luo Wusheng's heart.

(Weird… the more I watch this scene, the more familiar my own movements look.)

(It's like… "Yeah, if it were me, I would totally do that.")

(Wait—those are even the legendary positions that Shuangxue never let me try…)

Wait a damn minute!

A flash of clarity zapped through Luo Wusheng's mind.

He remembered now. The source of that "familiarity."

Back when he'd been… shall we say… "riding high" on his own inflated ego, he'd once imagined a scene quite similar to this—starring him and a certain crimson-dressed Empress. Sure, those daydreams were fleeting and lacked detail…

But this?

This video was suspiciously accurate.

Luo Wusheng froze, slowly realizing the horrifying possibility:

Could this be a visual manifestation of his own subconscious fantasies—accidentally externalized and replayed by some unknown artifact or spell?

Before he could spiral too far, the gentle hand stroking his head suddenly paused.

"…Senior Brother? Are you listening?"

The voice of his junior sister snapped him back to reality like a slap across the face. His whole body tensed.

"Of course I'm listening," he replied smoothly, though his nerves were frayed thin. "You were talking about what happened after I lost consciousness yesterday—how a rift in the void suddenly opened and teleported us out, then we ran into Ji Yanyao from the Daoist Sect, right?"

The Holy Saint had briefly panicked but reeled it in.

Splitting his attention in two wasn't hard at his level of cultivation.

"No," Bai Xiaoyao said slowly. "I was talking about the Predestined Effect left by the Red String of Causality…"

Luo Wusheng blinked. "Ah… r-right?"

"Nope. I just said that to see your reaction. I haven't mentioned it yet."

There was a pause.

Then Luo Wusheng understood: he hadn't slipped up—his clever little junior was testing him.

She hadn't changed. Still sharp as ever, unlike the easier-to-deal-with Lu Yuliu.

"...I was just thinking about that very thing, actually. I just got distracted," Luo Wusheng said without the slightest hint of shame, giving a helpless expression. "Go on, Junior Sister."

He knew full well Bai Xiaoyao must have picked up on something. But no matter how crafty she was, there was no way she'd guess the real reason.

Hell, he could barely believe it himself.

Fortunately, she didn't pursue it.

With a small glimmer in her eyes, Bai Xiaoyao's soft hand resumed combing through his dark hair. She let out a light laugh.

"Ehehe~ Actually, I've changed my mind. Maybe I shouldn't tell you… If I say too much, the Predestined Effect might hit me instead~ That would be so tragic, don't you think?"

As she spoke, her pale jade-like fingers gently patted his head.

"All right, Senior Brother. That's enough for today. Why don't we head back now?"

Her hand lifted—

Only to be immediately caught by Luo Wusheng's much larger one.

"...Senior Brother?"

The little demoness tilted her head in innocent confusion, her wrist now firmly held.

"Ahem, no need to rush."

Luo Wusheng did his best to keep his voice steady.

"I mean, the Predestined Effect should be resolved sooner rather than later. We still have time—let's continue."

There was no way he was leaving now.

Not when the Empress was still glued to the screen… and he still had no idea what she planned to do next.

He want to keep watching.
