"The dance of hearts and the music of rain"
The sky had begun to fill with clouds. Black and white clouds stretched across the deep-blue sky like a beautiful, woven veil. The moon peeked out from behind them now and then, then slipped back into hiding. Meanwhile, the cold breeze—soft, melodic—had transformed the entire atmosphere of the sea.
The evening felt unusually pleasant and chilly.
Ramish and Richer were wrapped in each other's warmth, enjoying the weather, when suddenly light raindrops began to fall—so soft, as if the clouds were joyfully singing at the union of two hearts.
Richer flinched and said,
"It's raining—come on, let's go to the restaurant across the street before we get drenched."
He stood up quickly, but Ramish caught his hand.
Richer turned and said,
"Ramish, come on… we'll get completely soaked."
But there was a strange glow in Ramish's eyes at that moment. He rose slowly, placed Richer's hand on his own shoulder, and wrapped his other arm around Richer's waist.
Richer stared at him in surprise.
"Ramish… what are you doing? We'll get wet!"
Ramish touched Richer's lips gently with his finger.
"Silence, Richer… this moment will never come again. Live it fully—every breath of it. Look at this rain… it's falling so delicately."
Richer laughed softly.
"So you want to enjoy the weather by getting sick?"
Ramish teased lovingly,
"Why do you get worried about everything? Come… let's dance to the rhythm of this rain."
"Dance? Now?" Richer stepped back quickly.
"We'll fall ill."
Ramish cupped his cheek and kissed him softly. Then he drew him into his arms.
"Please… just this once… dance with me."
Richer giggled and shook his head.
"You really turn into a child sometimes."
Ramish whispered,
"When you're with me, I want to live every moment completely."
Richer finally gave in and smiled.
"Okay… fine."
Then, under the gentle drizzle, they began to dance. The sky itself seemed eager to join those— clouds swayed above, the rain fell in a joyful rhythm, blessing the moment.
They matched steps to the song of the rain, swaying right, then left. Their faces glowed with happiness. Richer's eyes sparkled as he asked with a laugh,
"Ramish, do you really like the rain this much?"
Ramish nodded softly,
"I love it… I always wanted to get drenched with you in this rain. Today, with you beside me, every raindrop feels like it's falling into my heart."
The delicate drizzle scattered around them like the air itself had taken on the color of their love.
Ramish smiled suddenly.
"Richer… I want to tell you about a dream of mine."
Richer tilted his head curiously.
"What kind of dream, Ramish?"
A faint shimmer of emotion passed through Ramish's eyes.
"In the days of our separation… when you were far away… I prayed again and again. And in the depths of those prayers, I was given a dream… a place… where I met you again."
Even while dancing, Richer's eyes widened in wonder.
"And what about that dream is making your eyes so emotional right now?"
Ramish's voice softened.
"In that dream too… there was this same gentle rain… and we were holding hands just like this, dancing the way we are now.
This rain brought that dream back to me. As if God has turned it into reality tonight."
A soft smile lifted Richer's lips.
"Were we very happy in that dream?"
Ramish squeezed his hand gently.
"Happy…? Richer, I couldn't take my eyes off you in that dream—just like I can't look away from you now. In that dream, you were my whole world… just like you are tonight."
Richer blushed and lowered his gaze.
"Will you tell me the whole dream today?"
Ramish spun him gently, pulling him close again.
"I will… I'll tell you everything. But not now.
Right now, I just want to enjoy this rain, this dance, this moment… with you."
Richer laughed.
"You know… I never step into the rain. I'm always scared I'll fall sick. I've only ever watched the rain from my window, or from inside the car. I never enjoyed it under an open sky like this."
Ramish gazed into his eyes.
"That's why I tell you, Richer… whatever you dream of doing, whatever you've never done but always wanted to—do it with me. I'll be with you in every joy, every fear."
Richer smiled more deeply now.
"Alright then—do exactly what I tell you. Just like a movie scene, okay?"
Ramish chuckled,
"Whatever you say, I'll do."
Richer stepped back and instructed,
"First, take your hand off my waist… then step back and straighten your arm. Then I 'will spin you, pulling you towards me."
Ramish obeyed every instruction. He stepped back, extended his arm, and in the next moment Richer grabbed his hand and twirled him in circles. Ramish spun under the rain—laughing, stumbling, catching his balance—while Richer's laughter spread through the air like silk.
Then Richer pulled him close again.
"Now bend backward… like this."
Ramish followed every movement, both of them lost in the rain, the wind, the scent of the sea. Time seemed to stop—only the two of them remained, dancing to the music of the falling rain.
Then, overwhelmed with joy, Ramish suddenly lifted Richer into his arms and spun him around. Richer spread his arms wide, the rain falling like silken drops on his face, and his loud laughter shattered the silence of the sea. The rain grew heavier, but Ramish kept spinning him, both of them laughing freely—like the whole seashore belonged only to them.
When the rain finally began to fall harder, Ramish lifted the Richer gently back stand on the ground. Both of their clothes had been soaked, but their hearts were warm. Hand in hand, laughing, they ran toward the restaurant's golden lights… and as they stepped inside, it felt as though the whole world dissolved behind them into the rain.
The Beautiful poetry lines:
This is the echo of thundering clouds on the horizon,
And the monsoon of our love…
this falling rain Might make you lose yourself,
In the madness of our love…
