Love Descending in Silence:
A cool breeze drifted in through the narrow openings in the museum's rooftop, carrying with it the serenity of the quiet night. Silence had wrapped itself around the entire museum, so deep and tranquil that it almost seemed as though time itself had paused. Amid that peaceful stillness, two hearts sat side by side on the stone steps.
Ramish lowered his gaze to Richer's injured hand and gently blew over the fresh layer of ointment. The warmth of his breath brushed against Richer's skin, sending an unexpected flutter through his heart.
There was something incredibly tender about Ramish's touch, as though every gentle breath carried the power to soothe pain that medicine alone could never heal.
Richer remained silent, his eyes never leaving Ramish's face. He watched every expression with quiet fascination, as if he wished to preserve each fleeting emotion within his heart forever.
After a few moments, Ramish looked up and caught Richer's gaze. A soft smile appeared on his lips.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
A gentle smile spread across Richer's face.
"I'm trying to understand something," he replied quietly. "I'm the one who's hurt... yet you're the one who looks restless. Why are you so worried, Ramish?"
Ramish remained silent for a moment before asking with a faint smile,
"You tell me... what would you call this restlessness?"
Richer laughed softly.
"Does restlessness even have a name? If you had to give it a one name... what would it be?"
Looking straight into his eyes, Ramish answered in a voice barely above a whisper,
"I would call it... love."
Richer burst into laughter.
"How can that possibly be love? I'm the one who's injured, yet you're the one in restlessness."
A quiet seriousness settled over Ramish's face.
"What kind of love is it if it cannot feel the pain of the one it loves? If your beloved suffers and your heart remains untouched, then perhaps it's only affection... not love."
For a few moments, silence settled between them.
Then Ramish smiled.
"Now tell me... what does love mean to you?"
Richer shrugged lightly.
"To be honest, I don't really know. I suppose... love begins when two people simply start liking each other."
Ramish nodded with an affectionate smile.
"Did I say something wrong?"
Richer asked innocently.
"That's not wrong," Ramish said gently. "But to me... love is something much deeper."
Curiosity sparkled in Richer's eyes.
"Then tell me."I also want to hear that what you think of love."
Ramish took a slow breath before speaking.
"Love is something that happens on its own.
Without caring who the other person is, what does he have... where they come from... what country they belong to... what color their skin is... what faith they follow... or how the world chooses to see them.
When none of those things matter anymore...
When one person becomes more precious than everything else in your world...
A person would not hesitate for a moment to sacrifice every happiness, every comfort, or even everything, if necessary, for that one person.
When their presence makes life feel complete...
And their absence leaves the whole world unbearably empty...
That is when you know you've fallen in love."
Richer said nothing.
He was looking only at Ramish with deep eyes, feeling as though he was no longer telling to a definition of love, but putting the whole world of his heart before him.
Ramish continued quietly.
"To me, another name for love is respect.
Even after love begins...
And even if one day it comes to an end...
If respect still remains their hearts, then that love was real.
Any love that destroys dignity was never love at all."
"Is respect truly necessary in love Ramish?" Richer asked softly.
Ramish smiled.
Yes "It is very essential. Without respect, love can never be complete."
Silence embraced them once again.
After a while, Richer asked,
"Can love be described in any other way?"
Ramish smiled faintly.
To me "Love can exist in silence.
If two hearts may sit together for many hours without speaking a single word to each other's...
And yet neither let their hearts be bored to one another.
They understand one another without words.
And each other's presence let it be a source of comfort for them.
To me... that is too love."
Richer's voice was barely audible.
"Can love quietly enter someone's heart... and stay there forever?"
Ramish looked deeply into his eyes.
"Yes... it can.
Love learns to read the silence of the one it cherishes.
It understands the pain hidden behind their eyes.
Love... also becomes a shield in difficult time.
It willingly stands between its beloved and every sorrow, protecting them from every wound life tries to inflict."
After another quiet pause, Ramish spoke once more.
"If I had to describe love in only a few words...so I would just say.
If you understand love, it is a feeling...
If you see it, it is a relationship...
If you say it, it is words...
If you want it, it is life...
If you do it, it is worship
And if you keep it carryout, it's a promise that stays with you until your last breath."
Richer felt as though every word had stolen his voice.
A warm smile remained on his face as he whispered,
"You did explained love very beautifully.
But don't you think your thoughts are incredibly deep?
Not everyone can easily understand them."
Ramish smiled gently.
"Love has never been easy, Richer.
The day it loves becomes easy...
Perhaps it does no longer be a love."
Then, with eyes filled with quiet affection, he looked at Richer and said,
"And besides...
You're the reason behind every one of those deep thoughts."
For a moment heartbeat, Richer's heart seemed to stop.
Ramish held his gaze for a few lingering seconds before lowering his eyes with a shy smile.
"Richer...
Meeting you taught me what love truly is.
Before you, life merely passed by.
After you meet, I finally learned how to live.
I've forgotten myself in everything.
Whether it's day or night...
Every moment is immersed in thoughts of you.
I am drowning in your desire every moment.
It seems like you are in my every prayer...
Every dream begins with you...
And every beat of my heart quietly whispers yours."
