Author's POV
The room changed as soon as the voice came. Everyone turned to the entrance, and just like that, no one was looking at Seraphina anymore.
Everyone's eyes shifted to the man at the entrance. Lucien stood at the entrance. His tall and sharp stature took over the room with a bouquet in his hand. The crowd was stunned by his sudden appearance, but Seraphina saw something they didn't that… His eyes were only on her.
No one noticed it except Asher, Alistair, and Seraphina. His steady gaze pinned her in place, and her heart skipped a beat.
"Mr. De' Rossi!" Old Madam Lan shot up from her seat, her voice trembled with a little excitement and shock as she hurried toward him. Her eyes were wide with shock. "I didn't expect you to appear here!"
De' Rossi?
The name caused a wave not in the room, but at the banquet where the party is going on.
"De' Rossi?" someone whispered, clutching the armrest of their chair.
"Impossible… he never shows up in public!" another voice hissed.
