Chapter 98 - Chapter 98: Angels and Demons

It was time to make a change!

Standing in front of the window, Sato looked at his reflection in the mirror and made up his mind, taking a deep breath.

Then he walked out of the room.

Room 1, third floor of Aoyama Apartments.

Knock knock knock!

Sato knocked on Gabriel's door, his expression very serious.

No matter how you looked at it, Gabriel's fall into decadence was largely his fault. Praying for God's forgiveness clearly was not a reliable solution.

At this moment, he could already imagine the scene inside Gabriel's room, trash bags piled everywhere and strange smells drifting through the air, and he had mentally prepared himself for it.

Click.

"Tenm…"

"Hm? You are… Vignette-san?"

Sato looked with surprise at the girl who appeared before him. She was wearing a mask, with dark purple hair and eyes completely different from Gabriel's. It was that demon girl!

"Mm… are you Nohara-san?"

Vignette's voice carried the same hint of surprise and uncertainty. Her dark purple eyes curiously observed Sato, because he was also wearing a mask, hiding most of his face.

Sato nodded to confirm his identity. His gaze passed over Vignette's shoulder and into the room, and he exclaimed in surprise.

"You also came to help Tenma-san clean her room?"

The demon girl tilted her head.

"Also?"

"So that's how it is. Nohara-san also couldn't stand it anymore?"

Inside the living room.

After hearing Sato explain the reason, Vignette let out a deep sigh. Her expression carried the same helplessness toward Gabriel's degenerate lifestyle.

Looking at the now spotless room, along with the large pile of trash bags stacked in the corner, Sato could not help but smile bitterly.

"This must have been a lot of trouble for you, Vignette-san."

Vignette shook her head.

"Living next to Gab must be the real hardship for you, Nohara-san."

Is that so…

Sato laughed awkwardly. Sometimes he wondered whether Gabriel would have fallen this far if he had not installed several games on her computer back then.

"Actually, there's something I've always wanted to ask you, Vignette-san."

"Please go ahead!"

"How did you and Tenma-san meet?"

Sato had always been curious about this. After all, in terms of race, one came from Heaven as an angel, while the other was a demon from Hell.

Could angels and demons really become friends?

"Well, we are in the same class. On the first day I saw Gab, I was already drawn to her."

Vignette recalled thoughtfully.

"Back then, Gab was extremely helpful. Anyone who saw her would feel like they were seeing an angel…"

Well… she actually is an angel.

But how did she end up falling so badly?!

Even Vignette felt that Gabriel's character change had happened far too quickly. Or maybe the human world was really that terrifying…

It seemed those adults were not wrong to send them to the human world for exchange and study.

There were indeed many things in this world that could lead people astray. Even a kind and pure angel could become addicted to them.

"Oh right, speaking of which, where's Gab?"

"She's still sleeping in her room. Ah! It's getting late, I should go wake her up."

Vignette suddenly glanced at the clock on the wall and hurriedly stood up, walking toward the bedroom.

"Gab, wake up!"

"Mmm… it's finally the weekend. Vigne, let me sleep a little longer. I stayed up late last night."

"Today is Monday!"

"Hm? Monday? Then I'll just skip class."

"How can you say that? As a student you should follow the school rules properly!"

"Huh?! Aren't you a demon, Vigne? Demons are supposed to do bad things. Hehehe…"

"What kind of laugh is that?!"

"Isn't that how demons laugh?"

"What do you mean demon laugh? We stopped using that kind of laugh a long time ago!"

"Then how do you laugh?"

"Obviously like this, haha… ah! Gab, get up already!"

Vignette's voice gradually turned embarrassed and annoyed.

"Fine…"

Sato: "…"

Which one of them was the angel and which one was the demon?

"Wait! Gab!"

"Hm? What is it?"

Gabriel walked out of the room and turned to look at Vignette in confusion. Then she quickly turned her head toward the living room, her eyes full of surprise.

"Sato, why are you here?"

"Eh? Wait!"

She suddenly looked around at the spotless room and said in confusion.

"Did you two clean my room for me? Thanks…"

Sato subtly turned his head away.

Gabriel looked at him suspiciously.

"Why did you turn your head away?"

A figure gradually appeared behind her, replying to her question in a low voice.

"Because… your panties are showing!"

"Huh?!"

Gabriel froze, then stiffly lowered her head to look.

She was wearing a simple red and white tracksuit. Her long golden hair fell loosely down her back. Aside from that, the only other visible thing was the corner of her white panties.

Then she suddenly remembered.

After taking a shower last night, she had been busy playing games, so she casually put on a tracksuit. After staying up until late into the night gaming, she had groggily climbed into bed and fallen asleep.

Thinking of this, Gabriel's face suddenly turned red at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The room fell into a long silence.

"You saw it, right?"

Gabriel's gloomy voice suddenly sounded in the room.

Sato and Vignette: "…"

Wasn't that obvious?

"Heh heh. In that case…"

Gabriel suddenly raised her head. Her expression completely broke as she let out a terrifying cackling laugh, and from somewhere she pulled out a mysterious golden horn.

"Then perish, human!"

Hey?!

Isn't that the trumpet that announces the end of the world?!

Sato and Vignette's eyes widened instantly. What kind of stupidity had the people in Heaven committed to hand something like that to Gabriel?!

The people of Heaven felt wronged.

We also did not know she would fall into decadence…
