By the time I got to my destination, the sun had dipped lower, casting golden streaks over the rooftops. The East Quarter was surprisingly decent. The streets were clean, paved with smooth white stones, and faint mana lamps were already flickering to life on the sidewalks.
The area was clearly under church ownership, every corner had white-painted fences adorned with small holy emblems, and most of the buildings had crosses carved into their walls. A tall cathedral stood in the distance, its bell tower shining like polished silver. Even the air smelled faintly of incense.
From the looks of it, most of the residents here were nuns. I spotted a few walking by, dressed in simple black-and-white habits, some carrying baskets, others chatting quietly with polite smiles.
I couldn't help smirking to myself. "Nuns, huh…"
