Chapter 324 - The Final Trial P4

The Final Trial P4

A transformation spell from Fleur suddenly struck behind Harry, while dozens of chains seemed to burst out from the ground, trying to trap him, but with a simple movement of Harry's wand, they lost all strength and fell lifeless.

"Wow, Miss Villain… is that all you've got? If so, I'd be a bit disappointed," Harry said as he looked at Fleur, at the same time deflecting a Bombarda Maxima with ease, while Fleur was drenched in sweat, completely exhausted from casting spell after spell nonstop, trying to break through Harry's defense.

"You…," she said, her face full of anger, while her lip trembled for a moment and a tear slipped down.

Harry, who had been mocking her, suddenly froze for an instant, his teasing smile breaking for just a second.

Before quickly recovering it.

"Fake tears… they don't work on me, Miss Villain. And even if they were real, what makes you think I'd care? After all… I'm a villain," Harry said calmly, as if he had seen through Fleur's crying.

Fleur, seeing Harry's smile, filled with even more anger. She looked into those green eyes that fascinated her so much, that mocking smile that filled her with rage but at the same time drew her in so deeply she couldn't stop thinking about it, the calm he always had no matter what he faced, even while he was provoking her, as if everything was in the palm of his hand… which only made her angrier, and at the same time made her fall even deeper.

Fleur's tears seemed to flow stronger now, this time looking completely real. Harry, even after what he had said, for a moment showed a slight discomfort, his gaze shifting away just a little.

And right then…

Fleur ran toward him.

She raised her wand and unleashed a barrage of spells.

Harry noticed immediately and raised his own wand to deflect them, but this time Fleur's spell wasn't aimed at him, but straight at the ground in front, and when it hit, a cloud of dust rose, blocking the view.

Harry watched with interest what Miss Villain would do, a faint amused smile on his lips, and moved his wand, dispersing the dust coming toward him.

But suddenly, a massive root that had burst from the ground at the same time the dust rose was already aimed at him like a trunk ready to smash into him.

Harry simply pointed his wand forward, and the root split clean in half, unraveling into thin strands of wood.

"Bombarda," Harry heard, and with a smile he moved his wand, waiting for the next spell to deflect.

But it wasn't a spell that appeared in front of him.

First came the explosion…

And in front of him appeared those blue eyes, shining like stars, still filled with tears, and that beautiful face now covered in wood dust, staring right at him.

For a moment…

He froze.

His wand raised above his head.

"Got you," Fleur said as she leaped toward Harry with both arms open.

Harry, in that brief moment of surprise, seemed frozen, but his gaze didn't stop and shifted behind Fleur, where the flame that had burned her outfit and the scorch marks on the ground were still visible, realizing that Fleur had taken the hit from that Bombarda cast directly at her back.

That made Harry frown, genuinely annoyed.

While Fleur jumped to catch him in her arms.

Harry was so annoyed that his body was already starting to turn into red mist…

But Fleur spoke quickly.

"You said you'd take everything. If you leave right now, whatever there is between us… it ends," she shouted quickly.

Hearing those words, Harry froze.

And he felt Fleur's hands grab onto his shoulder.

Suddenly, the scent of flowers reached his nose, mixed with the smell of shattered wood, dust, and the explosion… but it was as if that scent mattered more than everything else.

Which made him, for a moment, remember…

What his Amortentia potion had smelled like some time ago.

Fleur was now standing right in front of him, with a bright smile, before lifting her gaze to meet Harry's eyes.

Harry opened his mouth to say something…

But before he could, Fleur suddenly leaned closer.

And kissed him.

Harry, completely caught off guard, widened his eyes so much that his body went rigid like a statue, while he felt Fleur's warm lips against his.

But suddenly, the moment shattered.

The metallic sound and the cold around his wrists snapped him back, as Fleur pulled away instantly.

"Expelliarmus," she said, aiming at the wand in Harry's hand, which flew off into the distance.

Harry came out of his brief shock and looked down at his wrists immediately.

There were two chains there, from before, binding them.

And then two more locked around his feet, trapping him completely before tightening, forcing his arms open as he couldn't move at all.

Harry's gaze snapped to Fleur, who touched her lip for a moment with a smile hidden behind her hand, before lifting her gaze toward him with pride, showing a teasing, victorious grin.

"You…," Harry couldn't even describe what he was feeling at that moment, only showing complete confusion as he looked at that smile on Fleur's face; the same smile he always gave her when he played with her.

"What's wrong, Mr. Potter? Feeling bad now that I've discovered your weakness? How you can't say no to a beautiful woman… Mr. Playboy. It seems you have quite the offense, but very little defense, don't you?" Fleur asked, though there was a slight venom in her words, mixed with her sense of superiority.

Harry looked at her, and for a moment he couldn't help but give her a rather interesting look. "Wow… using a honey trap to carry out your misdeeds. I have to say, I could expect that from a villain," he said with sarcasm, running his tongue along his teeth with a crooked smile.

"It's like you said before… after all, I'm a villain," Fleur replied with a somewhat wicked smile as she took both of Harry's cheeks in her hands, instantly feeling how he seemed to freeze, even if only for a moment, just as she expected. That alone made her feel genuinely happy. Discovering such a weakness in Harry was something unexpected… and so stupid.

Fleur bit her lower lip lightly as she looked at him, and suddenly started kneading his cheeks with obvious delight, as if she couldn't hold back from teasing him, like he were a little child.

Harry tried to gather as much composure as possible. He looked quite annoyed now, feeling like he had been taken advantage of.

The best part was that it seemed to be the first time Fleur had seen him like this, which only increased her sense of victory.

"You know… if I reported you right now, you'd probably end up in Azkaban for a few years," Harry said, staring straight at her.

"Then… go on. Bite me," Fleur said with a truly beautiful smile, even opening her mouth slightly, mimicking a bite.

"Damn…" Harry muttered inwardly. He truly loved every part of her… in the same way he had captivated her, but both of them were far too proud to admit it… until now.

He had mocked Fleur so much that he never expected to turn her into a monster. The worst part… was that… he didn't actually feel that bad… maybe, right now, he was starting to understand a little of what Viktor felt. Even when he had said before that he would never be charmed by her, it seemed like long ago he had already fallen at her feet… just like she had at his.

Fleur suddenly looked around and slipped her wand back into its holster before turning away, looking genuinely pleased, glancing at the chains binding Harry, feeling like this victory was worth more than the entire tournament. But she still had to keep going, and before leaving, she gave him one last look.

"There are still three years until you come of age. I can wait… but can you?" she asked with a teasing smile. "I think a villain and a villainess make quite a nice pair," she added, her face slightly flushed, before turning around and leaving, disappearing into the maze.

Harry watched her go, still with an annoyed look. He tilted his head slightly, and suddenly the chains binding him exploded into fragments.

Harry rubbed his hands lightly, a faintly amused smile on his face.

"A little bit of power and she's already gotten bold," he said, while raising his hand slightly, his wand returning to him automatically.

"I wonder who won't be able to wait…," he added with a smile, already planning things in his head as he put his wand away.

Meanwhile, in the stands, everyone was watching with a bit of discomfort at the display of affection in public, though some seemed completely captivated, as if they were watching a soap opera, even rooting for that romance that seemed to have formed during the tournament.

"Wow," Daphne said, already holding a bucket of popcorn, watching everything like she was at the movies, before turning to Hermione, whose face was flushed from the display between Harry and Fleur. "Did you tell her about Harry's weakness?" she asked.

"No. I think she figured it out on her own," Hermione said easily. "It was pretty obvious anyway," she added with a bit of amusement.

"True," Daphne said, laughing as she looked back at the screen, watching Harry try to regain his usual attitude, the one that had slipped away so easily.

Wanda and the other mothers, who had already noticed Harry's feelings, weren't surprised in the slightest. Only Wanda let out a soft, faint smile.

Meanwhile, Tommy was holding his head in frustration, because things had turned out exactly like Luna and Astoria had bet against him, and now they were giving him victorious smiles.

"It was obvious. After all, Harry's weakness is Fleur," Astoria said with a triumphant smile.

"No. It's not over yet. The bet was about who wins the tournament," Tommy shot back quickly, refusing to give up.

Billy watched them calmly.

"You're talking like Harry's already out of the tournament when he's still in it," he said, but it seemed like none of the three were listening, as they kept arguing about the bet.

Billy just rolled his eyes and looked back at the screen where Draco and Luciel were facing each other.

They seemed to have reached a standstill, now standing face to face.

For a moment, Billy saw Harry free himself from the chains, something that was actually quite simple. He also heard Tommy regain his excitement when he realized Harry wasn't out of the game, even though that had been obvious from the start.

But Harry didn't go after Fleur for revenge.

Instead…

Suddenly, he lifted his head and looked around for a moment, before a playful smile spread across his face.

That smile.

The one that appears when he's about to take it out on someone.

And the direction he was looking at was…
