Chapter 41: Waiting for the Draw

The morning after Crawley's 2-1 win over Barnsley, the town was still celebrating.
Red scarves could be seen around the streets, and some shop windows had "Red Devils!" written on them. Niels left his flat and headed into town, still thinking about the game.
Luka's goal in the 71st minute had sent Crawley into the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time in the club's history. Baxter's pass had set up the chance, while Fletcher had made an important save late in the game.
Niels was proud of what the team had done.
But the next round was already on his mind.
The draw wasn't until the following day, so nobody knew who Crawley would face. They could get another big club, or perhaps someone they had a better chance of beating.
As Niels walked through the high street, he saw plenty of fans still celebrating. Some were coming out of pubs, while others were talking about the match.
