Chapter 335 - Chapter 338: Mermaid Wizard and Kraken

As Sean's words fell, the two mermen exchanged glances. Without any hesitation or further persuasion, as if they'd been eagerly waiting to attack, they charged directly at Sean.

Sean's right hand waved his wand, shooting out a Banishing Charm that sent one merman flying. At the same time, his left hand accurately grabbed the trident blade of the second merman's thrust, and with a backhand swing, he actually threw the merman out, its body crashing into the sea wall behind and falling unconscious.

Looking at the trident in his hand, Sean thought the craftsmanship was quite good and had research value. Unfortunately, he hadn't brought his Undetectable Extension Bag, or he could've taken it back as a souvenir.

Throwing away the trident, Sean charged forward with full force. His figure became a white streak, heading straight for the temple. Some mermen tried to block Sean along the way, but they were all knocked aside by him, unable to stop him at all.

Rushing into the temple, Sean immediately saw Krum rampaging inside, but didn't see any trace of Fleur.

His wand waved continuously, sending spell after spell as blazing water currents wrapped in bubbles toward the mermen surrounding Krum.

Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang...

Mermen were repelled by Sean's magic one after another.

Finally giving Krum a chance to catch his breath.

Seeing Sean's arrival, Krum immediately said, "Fleur went inside to bring out both our treasures. I'm holding off these mermen to prevent them from going in!"

"How long has she been in there?"

Hearing this, Krum paused, then said, "For a while now. At her speed, she should've come out already. I also told her where the treasures were located, so there shouldn't be any problem with getting lost."

"Then something's happened."

As his words fell, Sean pulled Krum behind him. His wand suddenly waved, and the temperature plummeted. The seawater quickly froze, actually trapping most of the mermen in front of them in ice.

Frost Domain had remarkable effects when used in water.

"You handle the remaining mermen. I'll go find Fleur!"

"Good! Leave it to me!"

Krum charged forward again, combining hand-to-hand combat with magic. In terms of fighting style, Krum was actually somewhat similar to Sean, though his physical capabilities and magical strength were considerably weaker.

Sean didn't delay either. Having learnt the location of their treasures from Krum, he immediately gave chase. First going to Krum's treasure location nearest here, he saw the broken chains in that hall and knew Fleur had already been there, so he rushed out again to the hall where Fleur's treasure was located.

Bursting into the hall, Sean immediately saw two treasures floating in the water. Krum's treasure is Hermione, and Fleur's treasure is her sister Gabrielle. As for Fleur, she was bound to the wall by water currents controlled by a mermaid!

That's right, a mermaid!

This mermaid wore form-fitting armour, her golden hair floating in the water as if alive. At this moment, she waved her hands, gathering water currents that bound Fleur firmly within them.

Seeing this scene, Sean naturally knew Fleur must've encountered some unique existence among the mermaids. Without hesitation, he immediately waved his wand. Cold energy surged, and the water currents immediately froze. The frozen water was obviously beyond the mermaid's control. Sean took this opportunity to rush to Fleur, directly pulling her out of the ice-water mixture. Without any hesitation, he turned and ran.

When approaching Hermione and Gabrielle, two black smoke tendrils extended from Sean's body, wrapping around both their waists as he dragged all three out of the hall.

"Krum! Catch these two and follow me. I'll clear the path!"

"Good!"

Krum caught Hermione and Gabrielle that Sean threw to him, following closely behind Sean as they charged outward.

At this moment, Fleur had also recovered some rationality. Looking at Sean, who was pulling her, she said, "Sean, I can follow you now. Let me go!"

Sean wasn't one to be overly considerate. He immediately nodded and released Fleur. His wand waved rapidly, sending spell after spell as waves that crashed into the mermen blocking their path ahead, scattering them completely.

"Go!"

The three of them charged out of the temple with their two burdens.

In ancient times, merpeople and mermen were considered major clans of the sea, but with the development of wizards, increasing wizard populations, and human encroachment on the oceans, the numbers of merpeople and mermen gradually declined, with fewer and fewer powerful individuals among them.

Sean had read in books that in ancient times, mermen were prolific warriors, while merpeople would occasionally produce rare mermaid wizards. These mermaid wizards possessed the ability to control water currents and were the backbone of merpeople in ancient times. But as time passed, modern merpeople could only rely on their songs to enchant humans, with mermaid wizards becoming extremely rare.

Originally Sean thought he'd never have a chance to see a mermaid wizard, but the mermaid who'd pinned Fleur to the wall was most likely a mermaid wizard!

Quite interesting. Too bad the system didn't register it as a duel just now, or he might've been able to extract some mermaid wizard abilities.

While thinking, Sean led the charge toward the top of the abyss.

Just then, Sean's keen hearing suddenly caught sounds from behind. Turning around, he saw the previous mermaid wizard had brought a large number of mermen in pursuit. Just as Sean and the others were about to escape the abyss, the mermaid wizard suddenly took out something like a conch horn and blew it forcefully!

"Woooo..."

The deep sound resonated through the abyss.

Soon a low roar echoed through the abyss.

Then, accompanied by the sounds of rock walls collapsing, thick tentacles extended from the crevices of the crumbling walls, sweeping toward Sean and the others!

The water monster Kraken! A troublesome creature.

"You go ahead!"

Without hesitation, Sean took a deep breath and immediately used his Animagus transformation, changing into his White Serpent King form!

At this moment, the White Serpent King had grown a pair of broad wings. The wing surfaces were covered with thin, long scales that replaced feathers while being more resilient than feathers could ever be. Beating his wings powerfully, Sean charged toward those tentacles, his body rapidly expanding as the two massive creatures collided violently!

Just then, Sean's serpent tail stirred up an undercurrent, sweeping Fleur and the others toward the outside of the abyss!
