Nathan hesitated for a moment when, annoyed, he decided to listen to his mother for the first time. Even though he probably would regret it.
"Just for this time," Nathan answered, his hand massaging his forehead.
Mrs. Hilman had a satisfied, winning face.
"And I swear to God that if you arrange something like this again," his voice low and his jaw tight, "I'm cutting any possible contact with you," he concluded, as he drew his lower lip between his teeth.
For Mrs. Hilman was enough. "Fine, Nathan," she answered sharply, as she contemplated the scenary from outside. The sky already dark.
She turned around and looked at Anya, changing completely her personality.
"Anya, darling," she started, with a sweet, soothing voice, "I hope you can exchange some words with him. I'm sorry for his attitude, but I really want you two to talk and try to fix things. I would be really grateful if you could try to help him remember something. Maybe just talk about the past?"
