For days, I watched Dylan go out with the sole aim of finding out who my attackers were, and watched him come back in after many hours with utter disappointment. It was not a pleasant sight, but I was touched that he did all that because of me.
He had refuted my initial assumption that he had a lover somewhere in the pack that hated the fact that we shared a room. Of course I did not ask him that, I could not, as that would come too close to jealousy, and even though it was the case with me, I didn't want him or anyone finding out about it. I wouldn't even admit it to myself.
Dylan also refused that I moved out of his room, back to the room right across the hall, or to any other room.
