"Alpha Dylan and Alpha Declan asked that we keep you safe." Mira said in that fearful voice of hers. I narrowed my eyes in confusion, and at the same time I wondered why Dylan and Declan would send in warriors for my protection.
"Is everything alright?" I tried to sound unbothered but my voice had come out low and shaky.
Mira hesitated for a while before she spoke up.
"The pack is under external threats." Mira paused, and I swallowed hard.
Attack? No! Not after my first experience!
"Alphas Dylan and Declan have gone to drive the attackers back, and they asked that you be kept safe while they are at it." Mira explained. I bit hard hard at my lips to stop them from quivering but it was useless .
"How bad is it?" The words sounded in a whisper. My voice was at its lowest now, and I couldn't help it.
Mira only shook her head in a very slow movement that if she hadn't spoken the next second, I'd have been convinced that I imagined the movement of her head.
