Ning Ya wasn't fond of this Pokémon Egg either. It was surprising that a Pseudo-Legendary had fallen to the point where no one wanted it.

"Then I'll give this Goodra egg to my dad. How much longer until it hatches?" Jiang Chen asked Ning Ya.

"By my estimate, no more than three days."

"I'll send it over to him after it hatches." Jiang Chen removed the Draco Plate from around his neck. The plate grew larger as he placed the Goodra egg upon it.

Jiang Chen had discovered that even before a Pokémon hatched, it would be influenced by the energy radiating from the Plate, enhancing its talent and potential.

The Goomy inside this egg originally possessed Elite Four Level potential, but if it remained next to the Draco Plate until it hatched, that potential might very well rise to the Champion Level.

"Jiang Chen, I've made a decision. I'm going to stay at your house for a while too. Any objections?" Ling Wanqiu asked.

"Huh? As long as your parents don't mind, I certainly don't," Jiang Chen replied, stunned for a moment.

"What? You're moving in here too?" Xiao Luoxue had the strongest reaction.

"That's right. Do you have a problem with that?"

"This isn't my house, so what does my opinion matter?" Xiao Luoxue shot a glance at Jiang Chen. The guy had agreed way too quickly.

She could only hope Ling Wanqiu's parents wouldn't agree. After all, not all parents were that open-minded; allowing their daughter to move into a male classmate's home wasn't something most parents would easily sanction.

Just as Xiao Luoxue was holding onto that hope, Ling Wanqiu delivered a crushing blow.

"My mom already said yes," Ling Wanqiu said with a smile.

She had just sent a message to her mother, who had given her full consent. As long as her mother had no objections, her father wouldn't either. Even if he did, it wouldn't matter; her mother was the one who called the shots at home.

"She already agreed?" Xiao Luoxue's figure seemed to turn a shade of grey.

Seeing Xiao Luoxue's expression, a grin spread across Ling Wanqiu's face. She had been looking forward to seeing Xiao Luoxue's reaction, and it hadn't disappointed her.

"Ning Ya, please have someone prepare another guest room."

Jiang Chen's house was massive, with plenty of guest rooms to spare. Ling Wanqiu and Xiao Luoxue moving in wouldn't be an issue at all.

"Of course, I'll get right on that." Ning Ya chuckled as she looked at the two girls. She knew exactly what was going through their minds. Being a few years older than them, she could see their intentions as clear as day.

"I'm going home to pack my things. You woke me up this morning and made me help you pack for so long, so it's time you returned the favor, don't you think?" Ling Wanqiu looked at Xiao Luoxue.

"Can I say no?"

"Of course not."

Ling Wanqiu grabbed Xiao Luoxue and dragged her toward her own home.

"Good luck, Young Master," Ning Ya said with a laugh as she watched them leave. "I'm rooting for those two. They're definitely a better match than Gu Shuangyue."

Ning Ya didn't have a great impression of Gu Shuangyue. That woman was as cold as ice, and Ning Ya didn't care for her.

"Ning Ya, I'm not thinking about that right now," Jiang Chen said, waving his hands dismissively.

He then hurried a few steps forward to call them back. "There's no need to be in such a rush. Even if you're packing, let's have breakfast first."

"Oh, right. Now that you mention it, I'm feeling hungry again." Ling Wanqiu had been so focused on moving into Jiang Chen's house that she hadn't noticed her hunger, but the moment Jiang Chen mentioned breakfast, her stomach started growling.

After finishing the breakfast Ning Ya had prepared, Jiang Chen accompanied Ling Wanqiu to her home.

"Hello, Auntie." Xiao Luoxue acted very well-behaved when she met Ling Wanqiu's mother, Chen Qin.

"Are you Wanqiu's classmate?"

"No, Auntie, I'm Wanqiu's friend." And her love rival, she added silently.

"Please, take a seat." Chen Qin invited Xiao Luoxue to sit before looking at Jiang Chen with a beaming smile. "Jiang Chen, I'll have to ask you to look after Wanqiu."

"Don't worry, Auntie. I'll take good care of her," Jiang Chen nodded.

Beside them, Xiao Luoxue felt something was off. Chen Qin's attitude toward Jiang Chen was all wrong it felt like a mother-in-law talking to her son-in-law.

Had Ling Wanqiu's family already approved of Jiang Chen and supported them being together? A sense of urgency flared in Xiao Luoxue's heart.

Since they lived so close, Ling Wanqiu didn't need to pack nearly as much as Xiao Luoxue had. The packing was finished quickly. After that, they said their goodbyes to Chen Qin and left.

Once they returned to the house, Jiang Chen said, "Take a look and see if there's anything else you need. If you do, just tell Ning Ya, and she'll arrange for someone to buy it."

"Don't worry, I won't be shy," Xiao Luoxue said with a smile. This wasn't her first day staying here. She had lived here for a while before; in fact, this was her third time staying at Jiang Chen's house.

"I know you won't be shy. I was specifically telling Wanqiu."

"Heh, 'Wanqiu,' how intimate," Xiao Luoxue remarked, her tone tinged with a bit of jealousy.

"Jiang Chen and I have been classmates for years, of course we're close," Ling Wanqiu said pointedly.

"Well, I've known Jiang Chen since we were kids." Xiao Luoxue stood tall, looking at Ling Wanqiu with pride. She had known Jiang Chen much earlier than her; they were childhood friends.

Even though they hadn't seen each other for a long time because they lived in different cities, Xiao Luoxue felt the foundation of her relationship with Jiang Chen far surpassed Ling Wanqiu's.

Jiang Chen pretended not to notice their constant bickering. The best way to handle it was to ignore it; otherwise, being caught in the middle would be even more miserable.

"You two chat. I have things to do, so I won't disturb you." Once Jiang Chen left the room, the two girls found they couldn't keep the argument going.

On the third day after returning to Tianhai City, the Goodra egg finally hatched. A Goomy emerged from the shell.

"Gotta admit, Goomy is actually quite cute." Ling Wanqiu and Xiao Luoxue stared at it with wide eyes. They had never observed a Goomy from such a close distance. Based on its appearance, it was indeed adorable.

"Do you like it? If you do, I can give it to you." To be fair, Goomy was very cute; every Pokémon was adorable in its infant stage.

Ling Wanqiu reached out to touch the Goomy. Its body was incredibly slippery, a trait that made it fearless against close-quarters attacks. Any strike hitting Goomy would simply slide off due to the mucus on its skin.

"It really is covered in sticky slime." Ling Wanqiu pulled her hand back, noticing it was now coated in the substance.

There was nothing to complain about regarding its looks, but the mucus on its body was certainly a bit off-putting.

"It's very timid. It secretes slime whenever it's scared or intimidated," Jiang Chen explained as he touched the Goomy, his hand also getting covered in slime.

"Are you sure you don't want it? This little guy has Champion Level potential." Indeed, the newborn Goomy already possessed potential at the Champion Level.

"I don't want it even if it has Champion Level potential," Xiao Luoxue said, shaking her head without hesitation.

It might be cute, but she had a strong dislike for slimy, soft-bodied creatures, which was exactly what Goomy was in its early stage. If it became extremely dehydrated, Goomy would lie limp on the ground, only plumping back up once it had enough water.

Ling Wanqiu, returning from washing her hands, also shook her head.

"Then I'll call my dad and have him take Goomy away."
