"You look familiar…" Chloe said softly.
Elena blinked once.
Then suddenly smiled warmly.
"Really?"
"Maybe I am your lost sister."
Monica burst into laughter instantly.
Even Alice smiled.
Chloe finally laughed awkwardly too.
"I am sorry Mrs. Kellar…"
Elena slowly walked closer.
There was something unusually gentle in her eyes while looking at Chloe.
Almost affectionate.
Almost emotional.
Without saying anything further…
Elena gently touched Chloe's cheek.
Chloe froze slightly.
"You are so sweet dear…"
"Almost like an innocent child."
"With such a pure heart…"
Her fingers lightly brushed Chloe's face before she slowly pulled her hand back.
"I cooked many dishes for all of you."
"Enjoy properly."
Then Elena smiled once more and left the room quietly.
Chloe unconsciously touched the same cheek after Elena disappeared outside.
Her fingers rested there for a moment.
She remained silent.
Alice leaned slightly toward her.
"You do not seem sleepy at all now."
