Meanwhile on Earth.....
Meanwhile on Earth, inside S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier, Nick Fury stood at the head of the table, his one good eye glaring at the team assembled before him.
Tony Stark lounged in his chair, legs crossed, sipping coffee. Steve Rogers, Captain America, sat upright, his hands folded, the picture of calm focus. Bruce Banner hunched slightly, his eyes darting nervously.
Fury slammed his fist on the table, "Stark, we have a crisis on our hands! Stop being so troublesome and egomaniac for five seconds!"
Tony didn't even flinch, his smirk sharp as ever. "Troublesome? Egomaniac? Nick, I'm hurt. I'm just a humble billionaire genius trying to save the world."
Steve sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Tony, focus. This is serious."
"Oh, I'm focused, Cap," Tony said, leaning forward. "Focused on why Fury's got us together? He is yelling about crises like it's my fault the Earth is in danger. What's the problem?"
Fury's eye narrowed to a slit. "Loki has taken control of Barton and is on the loose."
Bruce's head snapped up, his voice tight. "The agent called Hawkeye? Loki's got him? How did that happen?"
"Doesn't matter how," Fury snapped. "What matters is Loki's out there, brainwashing our people, and we're short on manpower. He's got the Tesseract, and he's not playing nice."
Steve shot Tony a look. "I have not met this Clint guy but If Loki's controlling him, we need to save him. We need to find him and stop whatever Loki's planning."
Tony waved a hand. "Yeah, yeah, save the boy scout speech, Cap. I'm in. I say we track him, zap him with a repulsor, and call it a day. Easy."
Bruce shook his head, his voice low. "It's not that simple, Tony. He is somehow controlling the Tesseract's energy. It would be difficult to teach him and we would have to cover lot of area to find him. We are only what 3 people and Shiel's forces."
Fury nodded. "Which is why I've called for more manpower and backup."
The door hissed open, and two men strode in. The first was Carl Creel, broad-shouldered and stoic. The second was Emil Blonsky. Both saluted Fury sharply. "Sir."
Bruce stiffened, his eyes locking on Blonsky. He muttered under his breath, anger bubbling up. "You."
Blonsky turned, a smug smile curling his lips. "Good to see you again, Banner."
Bruce's fists clenched, his voice shaking. "What… is he doing here? And… why is he…"
"Normal?" Blonsky finished, his smile widening. He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a whisper no one else caught. "It's time to unleash my inner youth—the Blue Beast of Harlem is here!"
His body exploded into motion. In a heartbeat, Blonsky transformed, his skin turning green and scaly, muscles bulging until he towered over the table as the Abomination. His roar shook the room, papers flying, coffee spilling from Tony's mug.
Steve's jaw dropped, his shield half-raised. "What in the—?!"
Tony just raised an eyebrow, wiping coffee off his suit. "Well, that's one way to make an entrance. Knew S.H.I.E.L.D. was keeping him on a leash. But this is something else."
Bruce scientist's mind went racing. "You can control your transformation? How? Can your method help me cure it?" He stepped closer, his anger forgotten, eyes wide with hope. A cure for the Hulk was all he'd ever wanted.
Blonsky, still in Abomination form, shrank back to human size with another mumble, his suit somehow intact. "Don't know if it'll help you, Banner. But someone else might." His eyes glinted, hinting at a name he didn't say.
Bruce's mind clicked. He remembered a man, someone who'd tossed him and Blonsky around like ragdolls when they were Hulk and Abomination.
"Has that man joined S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Bruce asked, his voice urgent.
Fury answered, his tone clipped. "Yes. Hound is our top agent. He's on a mission right now."
Bruce leaned forward, desperate. "Who is he? Can you tell me more? What's his name?"
Carl Creel stepped forward, his voice a mix of reverence and barely hidden fear.
He'd met Kakashi's summons, a nine-tailed fox and a talking pug named Pakkun who'd told him stories that made his absorbing metals feel like a parlor trick.
Creel's voice rang out, full of awe and a touch of terror. "He goes by many names. He's a shinobi. A legendary shinobi. He is master of all five chakra natures, Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, and Wind! He created the ultimate lightning jutsu, Chidori, a blade that can cut lightning itself! He's the son of the White Fang of the Leaf, a hero who made enemies wet their pants!"
He took a breath before continuing, "He's Kakashi of the Thousand Jutsus, the Copycat Ninja who's mastered every move in the book! He once fought a hundred ninja with one hand tied behind his back, blindfolded, while reading a bedtime story! He is the teacher of Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Uzumaki and...someone whose name I don't remember. Above all else, he is Kakashi Hatake of the Sharingan!"
