Kakashi looked around the room at the team. He decided it was time to move to the next part of the meeting.
"While alien threats are something we now know about," Kakashi said, "we also need to watch for super-powered individuals or terrorist groups right here on Earth. They are becoming more dangerous. Some groups also have super powered threats as well as some high level of technology. We need to be aware of them, their movements and their goals. For that, we need good information."
He turned to Thor.
"Thor and Asgard will help us understand the different species in the universe. They have records and knowledge about most of them."
Thor nodded proudly. "Asgard's libraries are vast. We will share what we know."
Kakashi continued.
"Now I would like to introduce someone who will lead our information network on Earth."
He bit his thumb lightly and made a quick series of hand signs. He pressed his palm to the floor.
A puff of white smoke appeared in the middle of the room.
When the smoke cleared, a small pug dog stood there. He wore a blue vest and a Konoha headband. He looked around the room with intelligent eyes.
"This is Pakkun," Kakashi said. "Pakkun, introduce yourself."
Pakkun sat down and spoke in a calm, slightly rough voice.
"I'm Pakkun, boss of the ninja hound pack. Nice to meet you all."
The room went completely silent for three seconds.
Then Tony dropped his glass. It hit the carpet and spilled whiskey everywhere.
"A talking dog," Tony said slowly. "I have seen gravity black holes, space portal, alien armies, and a man cut a building in half with a sword made of energy in the past day. But a talking dog is where my brain finally breaks."
Steve blinked several times.
Bruce looked like he was trying to decide if he was dreaming.
Natasha smiled slowly. She had already seen Pakkun in the Asgardian ship so she was not that shocked. "He's cute."
Thor laughed loudly. "A noble beast! He reminds me of the wolves of Asgard!"
Pakkun looked at Tony. "I'm not just a dog. I lead the entire dog information network across the country. Every stray, every pet, every guard dog reports to us. If you need information about any politician, any criminal gang or random gossip of street beggars and thugs, you can ask me and I would get it back for you."
"Even criminals and politicians can't help but scratch our necks and lay down their secrets to our cute selves." Pakkun said with a evil grin that made many of the gathered Avengers shiver.
Tony sat down hard on the couch.
"So every time I walk past a dog in the park and it barks at me…"
"It was probably gathering information on you and sending me a report," Pakkun finished.
Tony put his head in his hands. "My life is never going to be normal again."
Steve looked thoughtful. He had grown up with stories of loyal dogs, but never talking ones. He imagined thousands of dogs across America watching and listening. It was strange, but also comforting. Someone was always watching for danger.
Tony recovered enough to speak again.
"Jarvis will help too," he said. "He monitors security cameras all over the city and will look for anything unusual. Jarvis, say hello."
A calm British voice came from the ceiling speakers.
"Hello, everyone. I am Jarvis, Mr. Stark's artificial intelligence assistant."
Pakkun looked up. "Nice to meet you, metal voice."
Tony grinned. He wanted to show off his own "pet."
Kakashi listened quietly. He was impressed by Jarvis. The AI could watch thousands of cameras at once and think for itself. In the shinobi world, that would replace a thousand sensor ninja. No village had that many sensors. The technology of this world was growing fast, and Tony had built something amazing.
Kakashi remembered studying computers when he first arrived on Earth. He had learned enough to build himself a website. hide his mercenary work and avoid being tracked. But building an AI like Jarvis? He could not do that in a hundred lifetimes. Chakra and jutsu were one thing. This was a different kind of power.
"I will also share what I learned about the wider universe during my trip," Kakashi said.
Bruce looked up quickly. "You travelled to space?"
Everyone turned to him with surprise.
Kakashi nodded.
"Fury sent Natasha and me to find Loki. But he had come to Earth instead. We saw several planets. I saw things you would not believe. Slavery markets where people from different worlds were sold. Space pirates. Whole species fighting endless wars over resources. Advanced civilisations that treat weaker ones like insects."
Steve's face grew sad.
"It seems that slavery and war are not limited to humans," he said quietly. "I fought to stop those things in my time. I hoped the future would be better. But greed and violence follow everyone irrespective of species everywhere."
Kakashi looked at him.
"Power always brings the same problems," he said. "It does not matter if the person is human or an alien. Intelligent beings want more. They fear losing what they have. That fear makes them hurt others. It is not human nature. It is the nature of any creature that can think and plan."
Steve nodded slowly.
Kakashi moved to the last important topic.
"The Tesseract must be secured with the Avengers. There would be no experiments on it until we have perfect protection measures for it."
He looked directly at Tony as he said that.
Tony coughed and looked away. He had already planned to study the cube in secret.
"I will build a special vault in the new Avengers Tower," Tony said quickly. "Best security in the world. Promise."
Creel looked confused. "Avengers Tower?"
Tony's grin returned full force.
"Our headquarters! Stark Tower is getting a full makeover. New name, new floors, new everything. Since we are officially the world's saviours now, we deserve the best base. Private labs, training rooms, landing pads for quinjets, and the coolest view in New York. Think of it as our clubhouse for saving the planet."
