"Um... I'm stepping out for a bit." Eva Nightingale stood up, opened the private room door, and headed towards the restroom.
While cutting the steak earlier, she accidentally spilled some sauce on her clothes.
She washed her hands in front of the sink and wiped her clothes with a wet tissue before coming out of the restroom.
Unexpectedly, with her head down, she bumped right into a soft, warm embrace.
A dull thud.
The collision left Eva Nightingale's little head dizzy, and she immediately took a step back: "You..."
The words she wanted to say were stuck in her throat.
How could it be him?
"Why... why is it you..."
"What a coincidence!"
Lucas Knight showed no expression, looking down at her: "Yeah." It was quite coincidental indeed. After painstakingly finding out her whereabouts and coming to this hotel, how could it not be?
"You're also here for a steak..." Eva Nightingale really couldn't find anything else to say.
The man lowered his gaze: "Yes."
