The road was congested, so it took forty minutes to get here.
And she only had two hours.
"Rose, have you found a job?" She immediately changed the topic upon arrival.
"Yes, I found one, at this internet cafe." Rose smiled, "How about you? Did you find a job too?"
"By the way, I've rented an apartment, you should move in and live with me."
Candice politely declined, "I've already rented a place. I'm pretty busy with work over there, so we might not get to meet as often..."
"..." Rose didn't notice anything was amiss.
Rose furrowed her brows slightly, "Take good care of yourself, Candice. Let's work hard to earn money and buy a super big house here!"
She thought Candice was refraining from saying much because of family reasons. She was the one who had known everything about her all these years.
Candice simply went to the nearby bubble tea shop with Rose and stayed for a moment, ten bucks per cup, two cups for 20.
Quickly, twenty minutes passed.
"Rose, I should head back!"
