She knew, Fiona Grantham rolled down from here, and what she would face.
"I didn't push her."
Bella Green said calmly.
"Are you trying to argue? Fiona Grantham is lying downstairs now, and you're holding her cane, saying you didn't push her? Do you think we're fools?"
"Right, do you think that because of previous incidents, the media will sympathize with you and believe you?"
Bella Green found it amusing, not expecting someone to bring up matters from during her term of office.
"I'm not arguing, I just saw Fiona standing at the edge of the staircase, leaning dangerously on the cane, so I wanted to pull her. I didn't expect as I was coming over, she had already fallen down, and I picked up her cane that fell to the side."
Bella Green raised the cane in her hand, looking earnest and innocent.
With that look, it seemed like it really had nothing to do with her.
Everyone looked at each other, suddenly a bit puzzled.
