Sophie Wilson's heart warmed up, and her eyes curved into a smile as she said, "Mom, Dad, you really don't need to worry about me. Do you think your daughter is the kind of person who suffers losses?"
Clarissa Taylor chided her with a stare: "No matter how capable you are, you're still just a child in front of us!"
If they're not worried about her, then who would they worry about?
"Alright, it's getting late, your dad and I are heading to work," Clarissa said as she stood up.
She also runs a gallery; while she doesn't need to go every day, she still checks in from time to time.
Sophie Wilson got up to see them off but was pressed back down by Clarissa Taylor: "Why so formal with us? Just eat your meal."
Under her mother's orders, Sophie Wilson had no choice but to obey, sitting down obediently, waving goodbye to her parents as she watched them leave.
Sophie Wilson took a bite of her bun, a happy smile playing on her lips.
