"Alright, alright... whatever she says is right, and I'm always wrong, is that okay?" Hayley Cole shouted hysterically and then ran upstairs noisily.
"Hayley!" Hazel called out, but how could she stop Hayley Cole?
Hayley Cole didn't even pause as she ran back to her room, and they could clearly hear the door being slammed shut downstairs.
"Mom, don't feel bad. She's just like that." Mia Cole frowned with dissatisfaction but still turned around to gently reassure Hazel Bennett.
"I... sigh... it was all my fault back then." Hazel Bennett sighed heavily; if she hadn't listened to her parents and married that man, none of this would have happened.
That man would get drunk and lose money gambling, and hitting and kicking her was considered light; anything nearby would end up thrown at her.
