Father Bright said, "After today, let's just pretend we don't know anything."
"The question now is, does Lucy know?" Mother Bright asked. "If you really want to marry Lucy, you should be honest with her, let the girl make her own choice about whether she can accept it or not."
"Lucy knows some of it." When he mentioned Lucy Wells, a gentle smile spread across Kai Bright's lips.
"That's good then." Mother Bright nodded. "Then later we'll pick a suitable day and you two can get the engagement settled. Anyway, just get the status confirmed first, sometime soon, and then slowly pick a good day for the wedding."
"Okay." Kai Bright nodded in agreement.
"We'll leave it at that then." Mother Bright stood up and went upstairs with Father Bright to rest.
"Mom, Dad." All of a sudden inspiration struck Kai Bright and he thought of a question. "Do you go on business trips all the time to give me space?"
