"Lucy, you too, you're going for a check-up with Kai, why bring your grandmother and me along?" Emma Wells asked with a smile.
"He just wants you both to feel at ease," Lucy Wells replied with a happy smile, mentioning Kai Bright. "He said to get a check-up so that you both can see he's healthy and can take care of me. Then you can be assured."
"This kid is so thoughtful." Emma Wells' comment received a nod of approval from Old Mrs. Wells. "Then why are the two of us getting checked? It's such a waste of money."
"That won't do. He said both of you being well makes me happy, and I'm happy, so he's happy." Lucy Wells felt a bit embarrassed recounting Kai Bright's words.
But how could he say it so naturally?
"Both of you should have a thorough check-up too, so I can feel relieved." After Lucy Wells finished speaking, she reminded them of tomorrow's precautions before returning to her room to rest.
Not long after, Emma Wells entered Lucy's room with a small embroidered box.
