"Daddy is spending today with the baby." Charles Seymour's heart felt like it was being squeezed; it ached. The little one was just too considerate.
"Daddy..." The little one cheered, throwing himself forward.
Charles Seymour caught the soft little bundle in his arms and gently scolded, "Don't do that again next time; what if you fell?"
"Daddy." The little one wriggled his tiny bottom, happily pressing his little head against Charles Seymour's solid chest, leaving him with no trace of anger.
"Lie quietly in bed, Daddy's going to get you some food." Charles Seymour tucked the little one back into the covers. The little one obediently waited in bed for Daddy to return.
