"Really?" Clarissa wasn't about to believe Sophie's nonsense.
"Of course, that's mostly how it goes!" Sophie replied with utmost seriousness.
Clarissa giggled and tapped Sophie on the forehead, "I know that, but your guy planning the wedding for the evening is definitely not about some ancient etiquette, he just can't bear for you to get up early."
Sophie wriggled with pride, "That's also part of the reason."
If it were a midday ceremony, she'd have to get up early to get ready.
As for waking up early... she'd rather pass.
Too exhausting.
"Charles really dotes on you beyond belief," Clarissa admonished, but her heart was full of satisfaction.
She didn't care if the ceremony was at noon or in the evening, as long as Charles cherished her Sophie, she was relieved.
"There's nothing I can do, he just loves pampering me like this," Sophie's words earned her an eye roll from Clarissa, "Go on and brag."
Sophie continued to giggle with immense satisfaction.
