The boss always has connections and channels he doesn't know about, which naturally makes things faster than usual.
Sophie Wilson rattled off the names of hospitals. Although she was speaking in a foreign language, the Dean, as a hospital director, naturally could understand. Still, the Dean fell silent after listening.
Sophie couldn't hear anything from the other end of the phone. She curiously held the phone up to her eyes, checked to make sure the call hadn't been disconnected, and then placed it back to her ear: "Hey, what's up? Is the signal bad?"
"No, boss, the hospitals you mentioned are all abroad." The Dean finally spoke, his voice shaky. His foreign language skills were pretty good, so he shouldn't have heard wrong.
But if he hadn't mistaken anything, these hospitals… are quite renowned abroad.
Maybe he could mix up other hospitals, but the chances of him getting these few wrong were pretty slim.
