Mrs. Zhang smiled and came over: "Miss, these are freshly baked egg tarts. I remember you don't like sweet food, but you might enjoy these. Take them along as a little snack."
Sheng Jiayu accepted them with a smile. As she stepped out of Lake Bay Villa, she suddenly thought of something, checked the time, and decided to drive to the hospital where Mu Ke was.
The setting sun leaned down; the winter sky had become dark, and it took quite a while to get through the traffic. When Sheng Jiayu arrived at the hospital, it was already close to six o'clock. She walked to the nurse's station to inquire about Mu Ke's condition.
It was no secret that Sheng Jiayu was Mu Ke's girlfriend; quite a few people knew this already. Learning that Mu Ke was still in the operating room, Sheng Jiayu carried the egg tarts over to a bench in the corridor and sat down.
She could vaguely hear some nurses gossiping: "Isn't this Doctor Mu's girlfriend?"
