Alister was silent for a few seconds.
As a rigorous scholar, he had to admit that Ron's logic was self-consistent.
Although he still held a reserved attitude towards this "artistic" research method, it was at least not an entirely baseless fantasy.
"Interesting perspective."
He put away the measuring device:
"Although I still believe quantification is the foundation of all research, your 'relational theory' certainly provides a... novel viewpoint."
This was the highest evaluation Alister could give.
Just as the atmosphere reached a delicate equilibrium, Ella's light laughter like a fresh breeze dissolved the tension in the space.
"Alister, discussing such profound issues at the first meeting might scare our new colleague."
She smiled as she approached, her voice like the warm sun of spring:
"Lecturer Ron, after your tiring journey, let me take you to your accommodation to settle in and familiarize yourself with the surroundings."
She naturally took over the conversation.
