After scheduling the installation with the technician through the dishwasher's phone slot, Ah Qing headed into the kitchen and helped her mom bring out the dishes and cutlery.
The first dish was the one Ah Qing specifically requested: a three-way marinated goose platter with head and neck, foie gras, and crispy goose intestines dipped in garlic vinegar.
There was also the essential autumn and winter dish, ginger duck, salted rice, lychee meat, and crab prepared two ways: stir-fried crab body, cracked open claws and legs which were directly steamed, and half-pan-fried yellow croaker with soy bean paste, making the table full of delicious food.
Ah Qing's most anticipated dish, shrimp and crab porridge with a hint of preserved vegetable aroma, was served in a clay pot on the table.
