Lei Tong and Hua Biao stood upright and saluted Old Xu: "Commander, what do you need us for?"
Old Xu waved for them to sit down, then said in a deep voice, "I called you here because there's a new task for you two!"
"What task?" The two exchanged a glance, their expressions immediately turned serious.
"From now on, put aside everything you're working on, and you don't need to participate in the regular shifts and guard duties. I'll arrange for others to fill those positions!"
A soldier's duty is to obey orders; since Old Xu had said so, Lei and Hua naturally had no objections.
