If it were an ordinary Beast Master who encountered a Treasure Beast, the first thought indeed would be to enter into a contract and make it their ally.
Even if the Power of Origin from the Undying Profound Serpent is too malevolent, bringing many negative effects, normal Beast Masters wouldn't give up easily; they'd find all sorts of ways to overcome these obstacles.
But Lin Jing is different. He has interacted with too many Treasure Beasts, from the Lord of the Demon Court to the Dragon Koi, already disenchanted by Treasure Beasts. No matter how talented or potential the Undying Profound Serpent may be, it does not attract Lin Jing at all, nor does he have the intention to contract it.
He only wants to extract all its current value, regardless of the consequences.
