The underground passage was pitch black, not very spacious, only enough for one person to walk in a straight line. The weak light of the flashlight could barely illuminate a few meters ahead!
There were puddles of dirty water on the ground, making a "squelch" sound when stepped on. Occasionally, a few rats would scurry past frantically, making a "squeak" noise as if Lin Fan and his team were intruding on their territory!
Lin Fan was not the least bit panicked. The hairs on his body stood on end, already in a battle-ready state. No movement could escape his notice!
Lin Fan didn't know how far he had walked. The passage formed an S-shape, initially going downward and then gradually turning upward. After about half an hour, Lin Fan and his team finally found the exit at the other end.
The exit was blocked by a wooden board, with light flickering through the cracks around it, three meters above Lin Fan's head!
"Everyone, be careful," Lin Fan cautioned his team.
