Lawrence Winters had no choice but to turn around and head to the glass door of AI Vision Promise Headquarters, pressing the doorbell once more.
This was, after all, the headquarters, with a dedicated receptionist. She pressed a button, and the door opened.
Lawrence Winters walked inside.
The receptionist stood up and asked her, "Who are you? Do you have an appointment?"
Lawrence Winters smiled and said, "I don't have an appointment, but I'm the manager in charge of special effects production at NewHuman Corporation. My last name is Winters. Your company has taken on a project from us, and I'm here to check on the progress."
"Oh, please wait a moment. I'll ask the technical director from that side. It's about special effects production, right?" The receptionist politely confirmed and then called the technical director on the other side.
The office of the special effects branch was right across from their headquarters, both companies sharing the same front desk.
