Ye Qiu followed the servant to Ye Lao's study.
After knocking and receiving permission, he entered the study.
It was simple and grand, with a row of bookshelves holding various books, and the floor still kept some potted plants whose names couldn't be recalled.
Ye Lao was watering the pottered plants with a small watering can while Ye Xuan supported him.
Ye Qiu, upon entering and seeing Ye Xuan also there, was momentarily stunned, then nodded towards them and said to Ye Lao, "Grandpa, I'm here!"
Ye Lao hummed lightly in response, and with Ye Xuan's support, finished watering the remaining plants. Ye Xuan took the watering can away, while Ye Lao sat in the recliner, pointed to a chair beside him, and said, "Sit down and talk."
Ye Qiu wasn't reserved, so he sat beside Ye Lao and asked, "Grandpa called me for something?"
Ye Lao said, "Can't I call you just to chat?"
"No, that's not it!" Ye Qiu chuckled but fell silent for a moment, unsure what to say to this powerful old man.
