They are either mutated individuals that have lived too long, or remnants of the Dragon Vein that survived the apocalypse...
No matter what identity they used to have, the Mountain and Sea People have a unified term for them—Epic Creatures.
However, despite the strength of these epic creatures, due to being at the pinnacle of the food chain, they rarely have the inclination to evolve intelligence.
Even after the reincarnation system of the Mountain and Sea Realm took shape, these epic creatures were not included.
After all, those that can be called "Epic Creatures" are basically entities born before the reincarnation system formed.
