Van Helsing's actions are not solely for revenge.
They also reclaimed a portion of the potion formulas from the Eternal Flame Church. Back when the Demon Hunter School was purged, a lot of the data formulas ended up in the hands of the Church. The enhancing potion consumed by Witch Hunters was modified from the Demon Hunter's trial potion.
One of Van Helsing's objectives is these potion formulas.
Although the Church's modified potion does not have as astonishing an effect as the Demon Hunter's trial potion, it does have an unparalleled advantage—its survivability rate after consumption is quite high!
The physical condition of Witch Hunters is very close to that of an ordinary Demon Hunter.
Their biggest flaw is the inability to use magic, even the simplest Dharma Seals are extremely difficult for them to master.
