What a heavy snow!
Falling silently from the sky, the snowflakes, large as goose feathers, slowly settled on his hat and the thick layer of snow already covering the ground.
The snow on the road piled up over a meter high, and the wind was exceptionally strong. A walk from home to the post office, usually only fifteen minutes, took Mr. Zhang an entire hour.
Bundled up as he was, he laughed at himself, wondering why he didn't just wait a bit longer. Did he really think he was as strong as he was in his youth?
The snowstorm, which had started at dawn, left everything coated in white by morning. Even the streets were completely covered. He should have listened to his wife's advice.
