Mason Nightshade gripped the steering wheel tightly, foot on the accelerator, soon arriving at Cloud Pavilion Garden.
Getting out of the car, he saw the lights on the eighth floor, and his heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally settled down, giving him a sense of stability. Since when did he, unable to see her, have his heart inexplicably race, fearing she might suddenly disappear again, to a place where he couldn't find or see or hear her?
Only by seeing her with his own eyes, going to where she exists, can he truly feel she's still by his side, and no longer would he be unable to find her, allowing his suffocating chest to take a breath.
Mason Nightshade went upstairs, taking the elevator to the eighth floor.
