Aurelia Shaw had her eyes closed, then slowly opened them a crack like peach blossom petals. At the sight, the soldier immediately perked up and leaped excitedly! Aurelia exclaimed "Ah" and hugged Mason Nightshade even tighter, her hands and legs clinging to him like a life-saving float.
"Why is it here?"
Mason could distinctly feel her warm breath and her lips sometimes brushing against his neck, his thin lips curled into a mischievous smile, and he deliberately loosened his arms. Aurelia immediately tightened her hold around his neck and locked her legs around him even tighter.
She complained, "Don't let go."
"Tsk tsk, what a fuss!" Mason's tone was disdainful, but his actions were indulgent as he held her tightly and carried her into the house.
"Wasn't it supposed to be with Grandpa? Mason, you did this on purpose, didn't you?" Aurelia scrutinized Mason, trying to find any signs of lying on his face.
