The traversal succeeded because Lin Li could feel he was definitely not in the bathroom. His feet suddenly landed on a sticky, icy, unidentified substance, sinking almost to his ankles, yet in front of him was utter silence.
The air was heavy, cold, with a slight sting, and the oxygen didn't seem abundant. Lin Li could feel his breathing rate accelerating.

Though he had only studied it for a week, the system amplification made it remarkably effective, illuminating the surroundings.
By relying on the firelight, Lin Li could see beneath him was a swamp-like viscous mire, stickier than excrement and slightly sweet, making each step a struggle.
There seemed to be some hard objects embedded in the mud, poking at the soles of his feet.
